Green budgeting: how to make it happen

Showcasing a Commission initiative which provides EU Member States with support in piloting green budgeting tools in an effort of greening public finances

In this panel discussion Mr Mario Nava, Director General of DG REFORM, will share insights on how DG REFORM supports EU Member States in the implementation of the Green Deal, focusing in particular on the example of the multi-country initiative on green budgeting training.

Ms Irena Drmaž, Director-General of the Budget Directorate at the Ministry of Finance in Slovenia will share experience from the perspective of a beneficiary of TSI support, reflecting on how Slovenia is approaching the implementation of green budget tagging. The panel will be moderated by Ms Louise Kessler, Director at the Institute for Climate Economics.
