AARP Eye Center
Consumer cellular offers a special unlimited data plan to AARP members - $55 for two lines.
Unfortunately my wife succumbed to cancer in 2023 and I only need one line of service now being alone. I sent a message to Consumer Cellular, and I actually received a callback; however, the gentleman who called could only tell me that is the way the plan is setup and there wasn't anything that could be done. I know that AARP has significant influence with Consumer Cellular and ask that they please reach out to Consumer Cellular and ask them to offer a special unlimited data plan to AARP members who like me have lost their spouse, life partner or otherwise single. Thank you.
@EugeneM704744 I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your wife! Let me clear up the confusion! Members save 5% on monthly service and usage charges and 30% on accessories with Consumer Cellular. Talk, text and data plans start at $20 per month per line. No contract is required. Includes free activation and an extended, 45-day risk-free guarantee. Your information is incorrect. In addition to the discounts you enumerated, Consumer Cellular also offers AARP members two unlimited lines for $55 per month. Here is a link to the information - https://savings.consumercellular.com/AARP55?tfn=8886207971&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_camp...
Again, I ask that this issue be escalated by AARP to Consumer Cellular about not having a similar benefit to those of us who have lost their husband/wife/partner. Thank you.
@Eugene704744 Consumer Cellular offers more than one discount to AARP members. Both of these are valid; $20 per line per month, and 2 lines for $55. For more information, go to: https://www.aarp.org/membership/benefits/tech/consumer-cellular/?cmp=SNO-LITHIUM---&socialid=1574874... Thanks! Jodee R.
There are many cheap cell plans available. I wouldn't limit myself to Consumer Cellular. Here is a link or you can search for "low cost cell plans".
