News Headlines via Simple Text Message to a non-smart phone

Hello,

I am looking for news headlines to be texted to a basic phone, a non smart phone as a simple text message, SMS I think.  No links, just a headline.

Is that possible to add as a free service?

Are you talking about a landline phone? If you have another phone, what is the make and model? Where did you buy the phone? 

If you own a computer, have you tried a search using those keywords, Simple Text Message non smart phone?

Not a landlines. A simple cell phone that does not go onto the internet.

My Dad uses a simple phone & would like to get the headlines messaged to him.

I have all kinds of companies that text me with lots of words all the time.

I did Google it and have not found it yet.

I guess he'll have to find some group to send some money to amd then they'll send him endless texts.

Whoever had my # many years ago was getting endless junk texts, thus I had my carrier eliminate all TXT incoming & outgoing.  

I kind of wonder what good is news headlines without a story?  Sounds like you looking for something like a news ticker?

Nothing is free, you likely give something to get something, like watching an ad, information about yourself to get on mailing lists etc.  I feel bad now, but every time my father would bring up the subject of getting the internet, I would change the subject.  I was up front about this to him, as I told him couldn't always be looking over his shoulder keeping him out of trouble from all the smoke & mirrors that exist online.

I am 74 years old and have had several cell phones. I bought my first phone at Wal Mart and purchased the Straight Talk plan with unlimited talk, text, and data.
