State-of-the-art Stabilization.

iPhone has become the most popular camera in the world. Video recording is a highly creative use of our mobile devices. Emulsio brings additional capabilities to your iPhone/iPad/Mac to make your videos even more beautiful. Stabilization in Emulsio goes beyond cameras' built-in capabilities and will also let you process other sources like drones or GoPro®.

Emulsio running on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Emulsio provides precise control and previewing abilities right within the app. Its stabilization technology is able to compensate horizontal, vertical, and rotational camera motion, as well as rolling shutter distortion. Stabilizer strength can be adjusted depending on the quality of original video. You can further change internal stabilizer behavior by choosing stabilizer profile.

New in Emulsio 4: HDR videos are now fully supported thanks to the new Metal rendering engine. More, a Mac version is now available in addition to the iOS one, and the user interface has been modernized for an improved experience on all platforms.

Optimized for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Video analysis and encoding are fast thanks to the use of highly optimized hardware video encoder / decoder of your device. Video stabilization data is preserved across editing sessions, so that you can later edit the same video again. That way, you preserve original video quality, and you don’t have to wait for video analysis again.

The app supports modern iOS features such as iPad multitasking, Peek & Pop to preview videos from the import list (3D Touch on iPhone, long press on iPad), HEVC file handling (input / output), Drag & Drop to import video files, the import and export of videos in the HEVC format on compatible devices, as well as modern iOS video access (browsing & searching). Drag & Drop makes it easier than ever to stabilize videos taken from third-party cameras like GoPro® or drone.

Time Editing and Live Comparison.

You can import any videos into Emulsio, that come either directly from an iOS device or another H.264 / HEVC camera such as the GoPro® or even from drone cameras. Time editing is very easy: simply select and trim any part of the video in the timeline. All editing is non-destructive, and can be reverted at any time.

Emulsio introduces many features, and the live comparison is definitely among the most useful ones. You can play both original and stabilized videos simultaneously, and even inspect them frame by frame. This helps you fine-tune stabilization settings before actually exporting the final video.

Video Encoding Pipeline.

Emulsio offers a fully exposed video encoder that provides several important features: user-adjustable output file format (mov, mp4, m4a), custom bitrate/quality setting (preset or raw value), video and audio codec choices (H.264, HEVC, AAC…), and output resolution (full or reduced size) adjustment. You can thus set your own preferences for your video.

Moreover, the transcoding feature is also available as an extension. The Transcode extension allows re-encoding existing videos at a desired quality/size level, and it is available in Photos, Files or any other app.

Embracing Latest Technologies.

Relying on iOS & macOS video capabilities, Emulsio offers real-time previewing and fast video rendering.

Emulsio supports high-speed 120 and 240 FPS videos recorded with latest iPhones. Stabilization is performed at original video speed, and exported videos preserve their frame rate. As a consequence, slow-motion editing remains available for these stabilized videos.

Video processing is fully optimized for 4K and HDR content, provides a high-performance Metal-based rendering engine, and it fully supports hardware video encoder / decoder to provide the best possible video-editing experience.

Why Choose Emulsio?

Emulsio provides state-of-the-art video stabilization, editing capabilities to trim your clips, 4K and HDR video support as well as modern iOS/macOS features. Emulsio lets you stabilize videos that the built-in camera can't handle (typically, 4K are not stabilized while shooting) with customizable strength, or process videos coming from 3rd-party cameras like GoPro®. And it even offers rolling shutter calibration and correction. Moreover, the video encoder feature allows you to finetune the quality of the exported video.

Furthermore, Emulsio fully respects your privacy: all operations occur on the device. You don’t have to create an account with us (we don’t know who you are) as our business model, by design, is not at all linked to your content, as stated in our privacy policy.

Purchase Options.

The free app lets you experiment with the stabilization & transcoding tools and various options freely, but will include a watermark in the exported video. Pro Pack (one-time purchase) and Pro Plan (subscription) offer the same features, but only Pro Plan includes future major version upgrades.

Adjustable Stabilization

Stabilizer strength can be adjusted based on the quality of original movie. You can further change internal stabilizer behavior by choosing stabilizer profile.

Rolling Shutter Distortion

Rolling shutter distortion occurs when recording movies with rapid camera motion. Such videos typically get wobble artifacts that Emulsio can remove.

Black Border Handling

Emulsio momentarily decreases the stabilization strength to prevent black borders from happening.

Input Options

Import any videos from Photos or any other compatible apps. Supports videos captured with iOS devices or other H.264 camera like a GoPro® or drone camera.

Live Comparison

Play both the original & stabilized videos simultaneously to assess stabilizer effect and settings. Every change is immediately reflected in the real-time comparison.

Discontinuity Handling

Rapidly changing scenes and camera flashes typically create motion discontinuity, but these no longer affect the resulting stabilization.
