- Rhonda PollardFebruar 17, 2014Unique experience to watch the glow of the lava. Mussels appetizer was nothing exciting, lamb and kabocha soup was great, veggie stir fry was ok. Or you can sit in the bar to watch the glow!
- Jimmy KastnerSeptember 26, 2014The food here is awesome and the view of the volcano is unforgettable. If you come here at night, bring a tripod for your pictures. Long exposures are the only way to get pictures of the volcano.
- hooeyspewer .August 18, 2014Nice place to catch a meal or snack on either end of your visit to the park. Great view of the crater. Has a couple of gift shops - one has cold drinks in the rear ;)
- Tim AyresDezember 15, 2014I had the Kalua pork and pineapple pizza. Wife had the grilled fish burger. Both were great. Large kids meals, our 2 girls (4yrs and 20mths) shared the pasta. Reasonable prices and what a view.
- Jason MaFebruar 6, 2021You can get a great view of the lava lake from the table. They aren't offering table service at the moment due to COVID-19, but they will put the food in takeout containers and bring it out to you.
- Susan KennyMärz 30, 2014Just as the sun set tonight they served us warm macadamia nut and white chocolate chip cookies-free! And the view is nice, as is the fireplace.
- RCJanuar 19, 2017Walls are thin but the view is fantastic! Nothing fancy. The food is pretty good for a national park lodge. Grab a cocktail stare at the glowing red plume.
- Ju LeDezember 5, 2018Nice viewpoint here! We weren’t there for the hotel or the restaurant but it smelled amazing!
- Diana R.August 29, 2013We stayed at the cabins and walked over to volcano house for meals. 2.3 miles. Awesome!
- Marisa CorleyJuly 1, 2013Check out the steam from the crater while enjoying a relaxing buffet dinner
- Sandi BaumanDezember 25, 2013The glow was fogged out for most of our visit. Prices high for SUPER slow service, but a pleasant evening. Rib eye was decent.
- Tim BergOktober 23, 2013Be careful if you've got allergies, the sulfur from the volcano will make you very sick.
- eric bornemannApril 27, 2023Nice view but food is meh and slow. Sucks that there is no place to eat outdoors. You can get talk away and drive elsewhere to eat.
- Matthias JanochaAugust 31, 2014Breakfast buffet for $18 is a bit overpriced and nothing special (pretty small). View is nice tho.
