Just purchased AirPods Pro 2 and wanted to use them as an additional hearing aid. iPhone has been updated to iOS 18 but when I go to the AirPods menu, there is no option to have them give me a hearing test. Is this not available yet? If so, where can I find that option.

I have just updated my software to iOS 18.1 but still cannot access the hearing aid functionality on my AirPods pro 2. What could be the problem?
Or France, Italy, Spain and the UK. It's nothing to do with Apple. All to do with restrictions from individual countries.

I’m having the same problem. I just ordered a set of Pro 2 earbuds from Amazon, and they shipped me Pro 2nd generation. Apple confirms that these are NOT the same product, but Amazon insists that they are. For those of you out there having this problem, check your box and see which one you have. 2nd gen does not have the hearing aid feature, and will not receive it. I’m having trouble getting Amazon to take these back, even though they sent me the wrong ones.
What do you do with the data from the audio test? How do you get this into the AirPods.

I have done all 3 and have checked to ensure it is supported in my country (Canada) and still cannot access the hearing test.
There has been no approval for Canada yet.
It did not work and now it is working and they are awesome. They must have fixed the bug.
Thank you for your clear advice. I also couldn't find the Hearing Test, until I checked the countries. We are not included yet. So, I guess a real test involving a another human is my only route.
All of these are true on my iPad but the test still does not show. I bought two pair and neither shows so in can't be the AirPods.
