Markup issue/bug IOS 18.0 photo editor

I have a 14 plus, updated to IOS 18.0, and have noticed an issue with the Markup tool when editing photos…specifically when trying to change the color of text when adding text to a photo.

I added a video of what happens, essentially when I click on the existing text to change it to another color (as I’ve done so many times before) when the toolbar opens to change, it offers the choices, I click on the circle to change color, and the pallet selection then opens…before I can click on a choice, the whole thing closes on it’s own. When I try to reopen it, it opens and instantly closes by itself. It looks like a bug/conflict. Thanks.

OMG I just nearly ripped my face off. I’m so frustrated with this markup tool. What the **** is going on? I can’t do any work with it. Every time I try to make a simple thing that I’ve done a million times before, the selection palette instantly closes before I can make a selection. I’m so ****** right now.

Apple what are you doing? What the **** is going on with this markup tool!?! FIX IT!!

My issue seems to have cleared up, not sure if the update to 18.0.1 helped or not, because it was still doing the same thing right after upgrading.

My issue isn’t iCloud related, as I have never used that service in almost 15 years of having iPhones.

What with all this pop-up… while I am editing my pic? I am using iPhone 12 by the way. This issue is fixed but I prefer the old way of editing old. This new way takes more time. 😼

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?
