Using iphone 13.. After updating to 18.1, a thin black horizontal line appears in photos app when i open an image. It disappears but the line keeps on appearing inconsistently. This happens only in photos app alone. When exited everything works fine. This could not be captured in screenshot also.

I just noticed it this morning on my iPhone 12.(iOS 18.1)The line disappears within 15 to 20 seconds. Only in the photo app, however if you’ve created an album and you go to the Album and check it out, it’s not there. I was freaking out thinking something was wrong with my phone. Glad to see that I’m not the only one.

I am having the same issue on iPhone 13. I thought there was something wrong with my display 😭.
This is appearing for me as well. When spoken to apple they said to restore iOS version using laptop. I did the same but still the light appears. Apple needs to come out with a fix
Same for me on my 14 Plus. It’s not really a big deal it’s just mildly annoying haha.
i have updated my iPhone 13 pro max to the latest update 18.1 and I see a vertical line that is randomly appearing with the photos app only it sometimes appears very visible and sometimes disappears gradually, it does not appear before on older IOS
So...whats the **** use of us blabbering here?? Is there anyway apple would listen to us??? Even after 2 updates there is not even a mention from apple side..even the youtubers like zollotech, Mac rumours, brandon seldom listen to my tags..the entire apple inc community is busy showing off the 'so called' apple intelligence..
I am also facing the same issue with black horizontal line which only appears in photos app , expecting that this solves after the new software update, this has been scary what if it turns whole screen to black lines, expecting the fix of the bug as soon as possible.
Unfortunately yes, IOS 18.1.1 doesn’t fix this issue.

I have updated my iPhone 12 Pro to ios 18.1 and I also noticed that a black horizontal line appearing in my photos app. It appears only in photos app not in any other system app.
When i showed your feedback about this to apple service, they advised me to be patient and wait for the next upcoming update (18.1.1 or 18.2) maybe apple might come with bug fix. So for now i am just holding on to it. But this was reported by only a handful of us. But personally, I am being sceptic about apple hearing this as they are disgustingly busy in marketing their apple intelligence.
