Can I use US English while setting India as my region?

but still set the region as india, and so have dates in the indian format dd/mm/yr (as in 25/6/24), and figures in the indian format 12,34,567.89 instead of the US format which would read 6/25/24 and 1,234,567.89??

I’ve done it with the region set to Canada while changing Siri language to United States English. You’re not changing language in in General - Language and Region, you’re just going to change language in Apple Intelligence and Siri section in Settings. Not the same thing. You can keep your regional settings as preferred. Try that. Screenshot below is from my iPad but I did the same on my Mac.

i’ve tried, unsuccessfully.

it seems language settings override region settings.

keeping the region settings to india show the examples in the settings menu correctly , but all dates and figures in excel have changed to the US format.

pity, because i cannot play around with apple intelligence till it comes to indian english 😀
