Distinguishing Videos from Movies in Apple TV Store

I was given video credits by Apple and told they could be used for “movies”. That’s not right though so they’ve told me now it’s not movies it’s videos, but I don’t know how to select one of those. I don’t see videos listed in iTunes or on the Apple TV app. It’s supposed to include some items other than music videos I don’t want any music videos.

I can’t just keep buying things and then asking for a refund when they turn out not to be included as a video. Yes I’ve been spending time searching for this information in Apple Support articles. I can’t find it anywhere.

Do you have a link describing this offer and how to use it?

Or if it was a message, can you copy the non-personal parts here (no names, no codes)?

Did you get credits as a monetary value, or as a number of purchases?

Not sure how Store videos are different from movies. The Store offers movies in 98 countries and country-like regions, where movies can be any purchasable non-episodic video, including made-for-TV movies, specials, and documentaries. The Store offers TV shows (episodic) in 6 countries. The Music Store offers music videos.

Normally the costs of such purchases will be charged to the default payment method of the Apple Account.

Apple TV+ is a separate service offering subscription content.

Else contact the Apple Support staff for guidance.

The credits were offered by Apple and are for a specific number of items “3 videos”. I’ve tried searching Support articles and found nothing. Apple Support chat says it applies to “individual videos, TV Shows not listed as seasons, music videos”. The last two are clear enough, but that first one I have no way I can find to differentiate. So they said it’s not full length movies.

in the Apple TV app, there’s no designation on which things are TV show episodes versus which items are videos (when I use the app on my iPhone.) on iTunes I don’t see any listing of videos it just links you back to either Apple Music or Apple TV app.

The only way I found is to try to purchase something and see if the credit gets used or not but if the credit doesn’t get used, then it charges my credit card.

Thank you for trying to help. I thought maybe if I look at it somewhere else it would make it clear which items belong in which category. For example, would a documentary be a movie or a video?

Thank you again.

By the Way-I did just ask them to remove the credit, but they can’t even do that. I’ve been so frustrated by the experience but I’m stuck with it appearing there until I figure this out. Buying a music video would be the simplest, but I really don’t even want one.
