New Apple Pencil Pro not connecting or charging with new iPad Pro

I just got a new iPad Pro and new Apple Pencil pro. The pencil does not show up as an available device I have restarted my iPad, and I have found no useful fixes online. Please help

I suggest that you identify your iPad Pro model correctly, using these instructions:--> Identify your iPad model . When done, check this compatibility list:--> Apple Pencil compatibility


If the Apple Pencil Pro IS NOT compatible with your iPad Pro model, you need to change your pencil.

If the Apple Pencil Pro IS compatible with your iPad Pro model, but you still can't connect it, I suggest that you contact Apple Support directly, using this link:--> Contact Apple for support and service
