I am on permanent high alert waiting for a phone call. I have no phone coverage in my home but Wi-Fi calling is enabled and internet latency good . How can I keep my Wi-Fi active while my phone is not being used

Yes that’s what I thought , but three days ago when the hospital was trying to ring me , none of the calls got through and I was using the phone at the time looking for a photo, now I’m paranoid and trying to solve this
WiFi remains enabled till you turn it off. For WiFi calling check with your Carrier if they support it. WiFi Call is a Carrier Specific feature - Apple Community
