The Bangladesh INFORM model provides a solid baseline for risk indexing and monitoring in each of Bangladesh’s 64 districts (2nd administrative tier) and 553 Upazilas and/or Thanas (3rd administrative tier). The index has been developed under coordination of Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of Bangladesh and United Nations Resident Coordinator office in Bangladesh, with the support from UNDRR. Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics of the Government of Bangladesh has provided technical support. Along with these, number of government and non-government experts from the country have guided the process through a technical expert group under leadership of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. The work also has been supported by INFORM Southeastern Europe team of the UNDRR. The result has been endorsed by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of Bangladesh.
