Raw Materials Week 2021

The 6th edition of the ‘Raw Materials Week‘ took place from 15 to 19 November 2021 as hybrid, on-site and online events, followed by satellite workshop events from 19 to 26 November, gathering a wide range of stakeholders.

The 8th Annual High-level conference of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on raw materials was the main event of the week. This annual high-level conference addressed the latest news regarding raw materials in the EU and reported on recovery & the green deal, transition pathways, strategic dependencies, partnerships and trade, and investment. 

The European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Raw Materials is a stakeholder platform that brings together representatives from industry, public services, academia and NGOs. Its mission is to provide high-level guidance to the European Commission, EU countries and private actors on innovative approaches to the challenges related to raw materials.

This conference featured a welcome and speeches from Commissioner Breton, the European Parliament, the Presidency of the Council, VP Sefcovic and the Director-General of the Joint Research Centre.

CEOs, Presidents, Vice Presidents, Members of the European Parliament and European Commission and other relevant stakeholders, participated in three sessions of this annual conference.

During the Raw Materials Week, several complimentary events were co-organised addressing the latest news on raw materials in the EU, including
