The objective is to develop transport infrastructure projects in maritime ports on the Core Network of the TEN-T.

The King of the Netherlands, Willem Alexander, officially inaugurated the IJmuiden sea lock’s operations on 26 January. The lock is 500 metres long, 70 metres wide and 18 metres deep, making it the largest sea lock in the world.

EU Member States have agreed on a Commission proposal to invest €1.037 billion in 5 cross-border infrastructure projects under the Connecting Europe Facility for trans-European energy networks (CEF Energy).
