As 2019 comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in this past year. The year in numbers: the European Investment Project Portal (EIPP) currently features nearly 950 investment projects, almost double, compared to end-2018. The projects are from all EU Member States and various economic areas, with the knowledge and digital economy sector in the lead. The top countries where the projects come from are Germany and Spain, as well as Italy and France. The total investment proposed on the EIPP amounts to EUR 66 billion.

Aiming to bring the public and private sectors together to discuss the topics of sustainable finance and innovation, the 2019 InvestEU Matchmaking event, powered by the European Investment Project Portal (EIPP) and the Seal of Excellence (SoE), took place on 19 March 2019 in Brussels.
On 3-4 June, more than 530 investors, entrepreneurs, VCs, corporates and innovators gathered in Helsinki to experience two days filled with networking, inspiring speeches, productive workshops and insightful panel discussions at the 20th edition of the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) Annual Congress.
The EIPP collaborated with the European Business Angels Network (EBAN) in the organisation of the first edition of the European Angel Investment Summit, an event that emphasized the potential in collaboration for solving major challenges like tech transfer, climate change, gender inequality and scaling up of start-ups.
The EIPP had an ambitious and challenging agenda in 2019. Check out other events in which EIPP participated, such as the Global Forum, EIAH Roadshow, EU-GCC Dialogue on Economic Diversification, R&I Days, Web Summit, InnovX Open Day and SME Open Day.
As the future InvestEU programme will see the EIPP become the InvestEU Portal from 2021, in the year ahead several IT improvements will be implemented to adapt the current EIPP to the focus of InvestEU.
