Food waste in Dutch supermarkets drops to 0,89% in 2023

Food waste in Dutch supermarkets continued to decline in 2023 falling to just 0.89% of the total procurement volume, a 35% reduction compared to 2018.

Food waste reduction report 2024: a progress overview of Europe's contract catering sector

New findings from the IFWC show that contract catering companies involved in its program have collectively achieved a 25% reduction in food waste over the past five years.

The report provides findings on food losses in Sweden, measured across eight product groups from 2020 to 2022.

Fruit Attraction Conference 2024 in Madrid on 9 October

Several ongoing projects, including BREADCRUMB, ROSETTA, FOLOU, and SISTERS, will be presented at Fruit Attraction Conference in Madrid. The event will commence with project presentations, followed by a Q&A session.

ROSETTA project kick-off meeting

The ROSETTA project, funded by the EU's Horizon Europe Programme, recently held its kick-off meeting, bringing together 17 partners from eight countries to address food waste driven by strict marketing standards.
