The FOLOU project, funded under the Horizon Europe Programme, is launching a Twinning Regions Programme to help European regions and their actors tackle the challenge of food losses in primary production.

Don’t miss the 2024 European Week for Waste Reduction focusing on the issue of food waste. The EWWR is the largest initiative in Europe aimed at raising awareness and promoting sustainable resource and waste management. Whether you’re a local authority, business, association, school, or citizen, get involved and make a difference!

Finally, mark your calendars for the 16th meeting of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste on 12 November and follow the event via webstream.

Events you may have missed

Food loss and waste prevention and reduction in cities

On 8 October, CEMAS and EUFIC organised an international event in Valencia, focusing on building capacity for FL&W prevention and reduction in cities, featuring plenary sessions and participatory workshops. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration among European cities to implement effective food loss and waste reduction strategies, supported by EU legislation and practical tools.
