Article 1
The European List of ship recycling facilities pursuant to Article 16(1) of Regulation (EU) No 1257/2013 shall be established as set out in the Annex to this Decision.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

The conditions under which the facility is authorised to operate are defined in permits, certificates and authorizations issued to the facility by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality, the Texas General Land Office and the U.S Coast Guard. The U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act prohibits the import into the US of foreign flagged vessels that contain PCB concentrations greater than 50 parts per million. The facility has two slips with ramps for final vessel recycling (East Slip and West Slip). Ships flying a flag of EU Member States shall be recycled exclusively on the East Slip ramp. |
