Liana F. • October 11, 2021Family friendly trail. Paved and has stairs. May be considered a workout for people who don’t do regular physical activity but it’s easiest hike we did in Hawaii.
Suprachibby • February 17, 2015Went during a windy and rainy day but still a nice walk around the area and beautiful. Would like to visit again when it is sunny!
Paige C. • January 2, 2015Go all the way to the top and then sneak across to the pillbox for an even better view!
Jim P. • March 7, 2018Uphill walking, an uneven rocky path and plenty of steps to navigate. But the views are spectacular. I suggest going with a tour operator and going on the early tour.
Nathan K. • August 11, 2010Excellent place to swim, have a picnic, or get some exercise in. Running paths, tennis courts, and lots of open space to have fun.
Scott H. • December 13, 2018Nice park with events happening all the time. Plenty of room to accommodate tourists and locals alike.
Rene T. • May 30, 2022From Waikiki in about 90mins walking distance. On foot you also have the opportunity to better explore the other historic buildings and the Aloha Tower.
Jason D. • August 6, 2011Less busy than main Waikiki Beach, plenty of grass areas and shade from palms. Lots of room and bigger beach.
Corey B. • October 15, 2016This is a great spot. A little less crowded than other parts of the Waikiki beach Highly recommend getting a $3 tube from ABC-this area is very calm and great to float. Great investment!
Salvo P. • August 11, 2013I surf here every weekend since moved to town area waves are fun and mellow !
Seaira K. • March 9, 2011Swimming to the buoy and back a few times is a nice little workout! Plus you can usually see a good assortment of sea life :)
Yilei • August 30, 2015Nice trail, nice view at the top. But the map is very misleading on the trail distances.
Alecia M. • October 12, 2012Great surf for beginners but it can get very crowded. Lots of turtles though.
Suprachibby • February 17, 2015Went during a rainy and windy day. Nice walk around the shore and up to Magic Island. A lot of wedding couples getting photographs!
Damian B. • July 6, 2017Expect heavy but brief rainfall. Weather changes quickly but well worth the views. About 1 hr round trip. Get there before 10am to avoid the crowds.
Lynette E. • October 31, 2018If you want to learn more about Hawaii's rich history, this is the place to go. I recommend the guided tour as they're very knowledgeable and in-depth. Take time to also walk the beautiful grounds.
Mike S. • February 11, 2014Great value for the money. Food was good too. Hale Koa is all about vets.
Antonio G. • July 9, 2016Great facilities , very friendly staff, nice beach and sporting facilities plus , Sunday brunch !!! Big thumbs up !!!
Biz T. • July 4, 2015Awesome views of the top after not easy hike. Lots of stairs and switchbacks. Bring lots of water if it's hot.
Brian • May 1, 2017Not a long hike. Park in the neighborhoods just before you get to the restaurant and trail areas to save $5. Hike can be tricky / slippery at times, so be careful.
