If you stay in Rome for longer, go to Frascati. The small town of Frascati is only half an hour away and offers many small taverns and wine cellars where you can enjoy local wine and food. Cin cin! Read more

The Aperol Spritz in the boarding area is a bona fide bargain at 5 Euros and, since they are served without ice (but still cold) more of it than at any bar we drank at in Rome.

If you arrived early or have a long layover go upstairs of the gates and find amazingly comfortable lounging chairs. Despite it being super busy while I was there, upstairs was quiet/practically empty

Love their lounge chairs, really comfortable. Of course, if you can't find a free one, you can always use your carry on :) comfortable as well.

It is one of the busiest airports in Europe by passenger traffic with 41.7 million passengers served in 2016. It is located in Fiumicino, 35 km west of Rome's historic city centre.

Airport has been remodeled and is looking great. A LOT of shopping from high end to smaller boutiques. It's also way bigger now and you will be walking much further to get to your gate.

Nice airport with many facilities. If arrived after midnight Taxis is only transportation choice. Prices is fixed but taxi drivers never obey those prices so make sure to know exactly the price.

Welcome to Italy! Are you looking for one of the world’s most unique dining experiences? The restaurant Grotta Palazzese was built inside a cave centuries ago!

Depending on what part of the airport you're at and/or where you're going/location of your gate, this place can be stressful or possibly quite calm. Try to be chill and your experience might be too.

Great shopping airport (of course being Italy). You can find pretty much any brand there. It’s not very big and easy to navigate around. Customs can be very long though even for EU citizens.

If you have a leg in Rome, go upstairs. In the very back is a lounge open to all travelers. It has besides a bar and a buffet also a shower. Against a small fee you get access + can use the WiFi.
