Awesome skiing. Lots of fast lifts and challenging terrain. Most of the mountain is skiable if you are advanced. Lots of locals have season passes though.
The most challenging and therefore most awesome ski resort. Everyone is good and everyone is having the time of their lives. Take the gondola all the way up for great scene of views.
It's fantastic but comparing to other ski-in ski-out resorts, Cliff Lodge to the Creek Roadtrail is extremely inconvenient - you need to go up and there is no other way around. The rest is great.
Come here when the valley is in an inversion. Once you get out of the foggy grime and up the mountain it's actually a beautiful sunny day perfect for skiing. Read more
Their logo should be a snowy owl, and there should be more snowy owl related things at the resort. That being said, it's still one of the best resorts in North America
Park on access road, ski to Tram, ski non-stop face shots until crowded, then ski High Baldy until you can't anymore. Or ski the double all day @AltaBird - Keyhole to High Baldy - best 2 runs on mtn.

The closest ski resort to SLC. Go early. Slopes close around 4:30 PM and there is only one highway out. You may get stuck in winter weather as you leave.
