- Mark BApril 11, 2022Fantastic park. Very large and to get the best out of it plan for more than one day. Lots of areas to stop and get out to enjoy the vistas and trails.
- Dianey SandovalNovember 16, 2023Beautiful National Park ❤️ the Chisos mountains are magnificent!! Get ready to drive each main section is about 20- 30 miles apart… they do have plenty of roads that require 4x4 for extra adventures!
- EdmarcSeptember 20, 2021If you could only pick one hike to do, it needs to be South Rim Loop (not Emory Peak). Bring lots of water on the hike and start early!
- Inga ShepardJune 17, 2016Love this place. Definitely bring hard soled shoes or hard soled water shoes. Bring plenty of water. Drinking and some for cleaning. Stock up on food before your reach Fort Stockton.
- RCMarch 5, 2017Gorgeous geology. Come end of summer to fall if you want higher water. I could only do a canoe trip up and back Santa Elena because it was so low, in February.
- Pro tip: drink your water for hiking longevity; bring telescopes for pro skills sighting challenges (finding clusters when the sky is a full Milky Way haze); long exposures for pro astrophotography.
