- Nicole McKinneyJanuary 11, 2015Better as a take out spot (minimal seating options) but you won't regret an order from here. Baguettes w/ gourmet ingredients named after international cities - Athens & Kingston for the win!
- They have the best sandwiches in D.C. Everything is made with local ingredients, but inspired by cities from around the world. I love the Istanbul, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
- Yasaman MahdianSeptember 17, 2018I love their food and vibe. Really cool place to have a casual yet decent meal with positive vibe this definitely is your place. You can also enjoy the cafe or yoghourt combos.
- Steven AndrophyFebruary 8, 2015A sandwich shop gem tucked into an alley off of 9th St. in Shaw. Kingston and Istanbul were both out of this world.
- Leonardo VillaJune 15, 2016Great atmosphere with natural light. I tried the house salad with grilled chicken and loved it. Also, the cherry cola Sprecher was a special finding!
- Not in the mood for a 'sundevich'? Opt for their equally delicious salads, I recommend the house salad with grilled chicken: baby greens, cucumber, tomato, sumac onions and cumin vinaigrette.
- Made to order sandwiches with fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Athens but the Mexico City is a close second. Another good option is the Istanbul. Weekend tip: They're not open on Sundays.

- Jess U.September 26, 2015Beirut sandwich is delicious--fresh steak, delicious veggies, and perfect seasoning. Arugula salad with chicken was also a hit with us.
- Sandwiches from all over the world--a touch on the pricey side but worth it. Their little store space is quaint.
- Polina WeitzJuly 2, 2019Superb sandwiches. Huge variety, perfect seasoning, and delicious bread. Capri and lima are highly recommended
- Serious EatsApril 14, 2014One of the standouts is the Kingston ($10): jerk chicken, pineapple salsa, spicy slaw, and garlic mayo between a crisp and bready baguette.
- Washington PostFebruary 28, 2013Too many options? Get The Beirut: Steak, hummus, brined veggies, tomatoes and fresh herbs combine for a tangy, earthy flavor you won’t find anywhere else in the city. Read more
- That's a hefty sandwich. The Kingston was pretty good - I wasn't wild about the jerk chicken but I fully intend to try everything on the menu.

- Natalia S.July 31, 2013The most exquisite sandwiches in DC! Try Paris or Mexico City. But honestly, all of them are juicy and delicious.
- The Beirut and Istanbul sandwiches are two of my favorites. You won't be disappointed.
- The Paris is perfect if you can't decide between a breakfast or lunch option. Perfect in-between!
- Hayley McGuirlFebruary 17, 2013The bread is hollowed out so that everything actually stays inside the sandwich, and doesn't get sloppy. It's such a great idea!
- Amy CummingsDecember 19, 2018The Roma is amazing! You can probably split any of the sandwiches, btw.
- Nathan HartmannJune 25, 2015Best place to grab lunch in the entire city in my opinion! Every option is REALLY good.
