Named for ornithologist and painter John James Audubon, this lushly-landscaped park first opened in 1898. Walk, run, bicycle or relax, all while enjoying the park's abundant wildlife.

This is one of my favorite places to go for a walk. There is a great biking/jogging/walking trail that goes through live oaks, around some ponds and gives nice views all the way around.

If riding the St. Charles streetcar suits you, ride it to the end of the line and enjoy a walk around the park (or Tulane Univ. across the street), do some bird-watching, or visit the Audubon Zoo.

Large park in Uptown bordered by Tulane and Loyola to the east and Audubon Zoo on the other side. Large ponds and a huge walking path for runners/bikers. Keep an eye on large swans walking around.
