- Originally Plantation of Jean Etienne de Boré, first mayor of N.O. (1803). Here Boré granulated sugar for the first time in the Louisiana Territory in 1795. Purchased for use as park in 1871.
- The trees are breathtaking, The energy is great, a daily walk when I am in town is a goal...
- Walking underneath the oak lined walk/bike path is incredibly peaceful. A nice respite from the hustle-bustle

- Just go... any time of day, any reason. If you are luck y you'll be caught in a downpour, then shelter in one of the gazebos and meet ya neighbahs!
