- Everything about Brooklyn Steel, the borough's newest venue, is outstanding, from the sound to the sightlines, to the bars, and even the bathrooms. It's already one of the best places for live music.Upvoted Dec 9, 2024
- Ira BSeptember 13, 2017Really well laid out music venue. If you can, try to grab a spot upstairs on the balcony. There is a separate bar and less of a crowd if you don't mind being further from the band.
- It's the best live music venue in the city. It's not overcrowded, good sight lines are abundant, and it sounds great. Security is serious. Like, metal detector serious, so leave your gizmos at home.Upvoted Dec 6, 2024
- Harry WolffDecember 16, 2017This is currently one of the best music venues in the five boroughs. The acoustics are terrific and the layout is roomy. Definitely go here if you can.
- Scott AllanDecember 5, 2018Enough already. This is be best sound system and live music experience in New York City. Arrive just in time and grab a drink and you鈥檒l be no less than 10 deep from the stage. Magical.
- Alex HunterNovember 28, 2022Maybe my favorite venue of this size in the city. Fantastic sound, easy enough to get a drink or go to the bathroom. Gets crowded if sold out. Friendly reminder to STFU during the show :)
- PaddyMarch 16, 2018Great venue for a show. Easily reached from elsewhere in BK and from Manhattan. View from the front is obviously great but there鈥檚 mezzanine on either side as well as a raised area toward the back.
- Joe MontesNovember 3, 2018The acoustics here are amazing! The venue hold only 1,800 people so it鈥檚 a great place to see a concert with a more intimate feel.
- Marie La RueJanuary 6, 2019Medium sized concert venue in East Williamsburg. Great programming of mostly indie rock acts. Second floor mezzanine has the best views.
- HolidayMay 16, 20171,800 person capacity, incredible sound. Soundproof venue. Value your hearing? Invest in earplugs for all shows here. Dare I say best venue in NYC?
- Oscar W隆ldApril 21, 2017Reminiscent of Terminal 5 but with much better sound, my only complaint is the stage needs to be higher (or maybe slope the floor) cause it's often hard to see the performers
- Fav large venue in the city. Even if the show sells out, it鈥檚 never overcrowded especially if you stand in the back by the bar.
- AmateurConciergeDecember 9, 2018Like everything you want Terminal 5 to be: smaller, slanted floor, better acts....but an unnecessarily tight metal detector crew
- Its a pretty big venue, about terminal 5 size. It is a bit of a madhouse, but the sound in the back by the bar is excellent.
- Harrison JohnsonOctober 14, 2017Very spacious, makes it easy to get into venue and out. On top of that great acoustics. Probably my favorite music venue in nyc 馃幎
- Great sound. Not a bad line of sight in the house. Great venue.
- Jon GoldmannSeptember 11, 2017Large open space, great GA venue. Balcony is a bit tight for viewing, but the bars all run like clockwork. Nice alternative to Brooklyn Bowl out there.
- Louis MattaMay 27, 2017The venue itself is spacious and offers a similar, if not improved, layout to the over-stuffed Terminal 5. The biggest issue is that the location is in the middle of nowhere.
- Dan SohaydaDecember 2, 2017After show coat check line wraps up the stairs. Be ready to go up there just to get in line unless you get there early enough. Metal detectors and pat downs are the norm.
- Ben FortneySeptember 5, 2017Although the site lines up top are great and the crowd at the bar was thinner, the sound is much, much better on the floor than in the balcony.
- Like Terminal Five except better in every conceivable way.
- Solid venue but lacks intimacy of music hall of williamsburg. Fairly easy to get drinks. Easy to get to.
- The most intimate and civil music venue ever. Amazing sound and there's barely a bad spot to stand in the whole place.
- Mike HeintzlemanDecember 10, 2018Solid venue in BK. Didn鈥檛 realize it would be as large as it is. Packed show for Kruangbin!
- I bet there's probably no line right now at the bar in the back of the second floor.
- Cool. They did a good job with this venue. It's huge, good sound and they have a million bathroom stalls.
- Andrew COctober 24, 2017This has quickly become one of my favorite venues in New York. It鈥檚 like they got Terminal 5 right.
- Jon PressmanFebruary 22, 2018Nice venue. Cool balcony comes way out toward stage. Lots of space. Good ventilation.
- Marvin HoffmannSeptember 27, 2017Due to a huge ventilator on the ceiling it gets pretty cold in there if the crowd is not too packed. The ambiance is really great though. Beers were kind of expensive at 9$ a glass.
- Take Terminal 5. Now remove all the terrible sight lines. And voila, you have Brooklyn Steel!
- Zucchini RoseAugust 24, 2017Been here for a few shows and the vocals are just never quite right. Otherwise great space. Work on the sound!
- DaniellaOctober 9, 2017Great sound system and doesn't feel uncomfortably crowded, even at a sold out show.
- Venue sight lines - size. On the bad side - awful setup for getting out. Coat check , merch table all in the way of the exit. Open up the side doors for exit not just one set of doors
