Waitress was Rosie Perez from "white men can't jump". Good service, very very good food. Drinks were strong. The social aspect at the bar was great. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Tucson.
Get the Mole. Try the chalkboard combo. This is an awesome find. I returned after 15 years and was so excited to eat there again. Love the new location.
The people with me loved their meated-meals. However, I am a vegetarian and their vege-options are really limited and the food was very unsatisfying. (Tasty, but not satisfying and with no protein.)
Excellent service, try any of their margaritas (the one with vanilla sounds weird, but tastes amazing), order the chefs special because why would you know better than the chef what you want?
I never thought I'd describe a restaurant as "elegant Mexican", but I found it here. This upscaleeatery had my group describing it as a delightful discovery. Our four meals were each fantastic.
The menu changes daily but if they have the puerco or the green corntamale they are phenomenal! And please get the pumpkin cheesecake...sheer perfection. Who'd a thunk Tucson could be so fancy?
Likely one of the best salsas you can have in the continental US. And you get it as an appetizer for free! Amazing balanced flavours and attention to detail. very professional and respectful service.
Ah yes, calling for reservation with out of town number .... Sir, how does 4:30pm work? WTF. Arrive and then they try to seat us by bathroom. Call with local number. Please.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Tucson! They have delicious fresh juice and chips and salsa. There's mandatory hugs when you leave, which adds to the charm of this place!
Loved the ambiance and food however, the service was lacking. They did not pour the bottle of wine that was ordered, it was just left on the table and they would not accommodate my nut allergy.
Just any FYI for any business travelers, this place does not take AMEX and would not split a check. Not customer service friendly in that manner. Otherwise, great food and service.
Try the daily sampler (El Plato Poca Cosa) with three dishes selected by the chef. Wash the delicious gourmet Mexican food down with one of the margaritas.
