I love IKEA & my whole house is decorated with it. One small issue: there are NEVER enough registers open here. Plan to wait in line for at least 30+ mins. Anything less would be a pleasant surprise.

I can never get enough of IKEA. In terms of helpful tips, there's a lot of great apps on the App Store for keeping track of things you want to pick up at the end; SmartList is a good one.
If coming to just eat, go down the elevator right at the top of the escalator to leave. This will save you from having to wander thru the store to get out.
You should try their meatballs. Occasionally you will find a group of improvisers wandering around and doing scenes in bed room mock ups. Feel free to join them. They are pretty nice.
After years going here I've finally mastered how to get in and out in under an hour. But somehow I always leave with a thing I didn't know I needed until I saw it at IKEA. No idea how that happens...
The food here is extraordinarily cheap and quality is decent for what you're paying. 50cent hot dogs are nice after a long day of "testing" the sofas and chairs.
As much as people joke about their furniture, it truly is decently made. We bought some nice stuff and I destroyed my wrists putting it together... so there's that.

If you want a drink, get it downstairs in the marketplace. It's a quarter cheaper and you can take it with you as you shop unlike the glasses upstairs.
This building is a black hole for cell signal. Make sure you're not expecting any calls. And if you did a car share, make sure you have plenty of time.

Don't go upstairs unless you absolutely need to. You will get lost in the chaos. The arrows and maps are no help at all. Stop at the cafeteria for cheap food.
