Roger DashSeptember 5, 2012One of if not the oldest coffee shops in DC. They roast the coffee across the way in Alexandria. Mesco is their signature blend and it is FANTASTIC. Espresso is great as well as the cappuccino.聽
Folks line up in droves for the expresso drinks, yet one of the hidden gems is the smooth chai latte. If you're a fan of the drink, make sure to try Swing's version.

Best coffee in the business district around the White House. Fun eavesdropping on conversations given all of the patrons have interesting policy/legal/lobbying/government jobs.
Easily one of the best coffee bars in DC. I never need to take the latte with sugar, it's just that good.

Order 1lb of Eurodark bean or ground to your liking for home brewing. It's the closest to European roasts from overseas.

Try a double latte with three shots- you'll get even more of the fantastic flavor of their espresso. It's worth the extra caffeine buzz :)

The Nicaragua blend is amazing! A bit better if brewed at home though. Love this place.
This is the best coffee place in the city. Coffees are strong and the staff is awesome!
