Moved broadband to EE from virgin. They promised to pay my early disconnection fee and it’s been a total nightmare. Apparently it was gonna be seamless but there is no sign of my money. Trying to get an invoice from virgin but they are rubbish as well. Don’t believe anything these guys promise, absolutely useless

BT to EE transfer. The most infuriating experience. At least FIVE very long phone calls to BT/EE to transfer over (this is at BT’s suggestion). Kit delivered and then BT requested we post it back because they needed to restart the order afresh (3 phone calls) but unclear reason why! Today after a 40 minute phone call and two weeks later told that a transfer over was not possible. A complete waste of time and resources. Different people each time and no continuity.

Switched from BT to EE after 5 years of no issues at all, more than happy with my billing price and service. Upgraded my EE mobile and felt very pressured into swapping my working BT broadband to EE. There was 3 attempts to fit my new router as they kept cancelling, twice on the day of fitting. After a week of swapping dates they swapped out the speedy BT tech for EE and that's day 1 of the issues. Thought I'd give them a week to adjust however different devices keep dropping out, can't load movies on my TV anymore, my phone is slow to load websites now and my security cameras keep disconnecting from the WiFi completely now. The EE tat has been removed by myself and Virgin are coming tomorrow to fit me out something that works since BT have been sold off to Kevin Bacon. BT have lost a customer who was more than happy with their own broadband, definitely would not recommend

Reading these Reviews !! I have a feeling I may have signed up for a disaster !!!! Their expertise is sending out Messages , saying it is delayed because of Openreach . They convince you at sign up , you won’t see any problems !!! Looks like they have trained the Staff to be very good Liars .

AVOID this shambles of a company

AVOID this shambles of a company. Absolutely horrendous broadband. Constant issues from day 1. I have more or less rang EE every week with issues since starting a contract with them. The worst broadband I have ever had. So frustrating especially when you work from home permanently. AVOID this shit company and save the inconvenience of terrible broadband and mobile network connection.

Disgusting company

Disgusting company. Daughter had problems from day one of installtion home broadband. Was phoning them 5 times a day for help and emailing. No contact. Now on asking to move to another provider they suddenly find her phone number to give her a bill of nearly 400 pound for leaving contract early. Then they started threatening her with menace for money. She has autism and learning disabilities, but that didnt bother them, they just want money. My advice is if you have a family member who is vulnerable in particular, avoid this company, they will only be menaced by them for money.

Total Disgrace

Total Disgrace! I've been with BT for 11 years & I was on a great package with good internet speeds & when they both decided EE & BT should merged It's been nothing but a total disgrace! I've had billing problems with money coming out of my bank account! I've had major internet problems they can't seem to figure out! I have -Terrible- customer support & phone calls -always- being put down on me! Do not choose these guys, Ever! They will mess you around continuously, lie to you & put you on fake packages & try their best to confuse you!
I can't stress enough How much EE Have totally broken BT's reputation! I will be switching my provider ( at this point literally with anyone) and I won't be looking back towards BT/EE again.

If minus stars would have been an option would have given it. Made to change from BT to EE. Found EE Crap sent engineer to set up, no kit. Sent kit no engineer. Made me feel so ill I had to visit GP. I want out of this terrible service that is not fit for purpose. All the customer service staff want to do is sell you more of the rubbish must work on commission.

EE TV and Broadband

Made to move from BT to EE when I upgraded my mobile phone. This was in August. We have had numerous problems, too long to write, probably spoken to every department in EE/BT and we are still having issues with lip synchronization. Numerous complaints raised that have never been resolved. Worst service ever having had no issues with BT for all the years we were with them.

Never choose this broadband

They said up to 100 Megabits per second, my downdoad speed is 4.72Mbps download 0.09 Mbps upload and i keep chetking this speed is only with one divice, I called them and obviosely cant help you with anything and lie about bad connection, when i said you lie about and i dont need this internet as you dont give at all, cant even watch youtube, peace of shit, talk talk also shit, but this EE even bigger shit!

Absurdly slow internet

Absurdly slow internet. The average internet speeds ten years ago were far far better. The customer support employees are trained to lie about the service provided and are easily caught out on their lies. I have not seen the download speed peak above 1mb/s.

EE house moving team...poor at best

The EE team that was supposedly helping me with a house move, got it disastrously wrong. Gave them clear instructions about everything needed and they took it upon themselves to cancel my 4G tempory hub, my TV package and the only response I got was, sorry about this, we will try to resolve in 5 working days...Given that's Christmas, they have ripped the festive cheer out of the occasion.
So for all those moving home and taking EE with you...beware

Absolute atrocious home move experience, left without broadband and tv over Xmas due to internal EE issues cancelling order. But it's ok, they're sorry.

Worst customer experience

Worst customer experience. Me and my wife are with EE (both mobile and broadband for around 17 years now), and during our home move we just want a mobile broadband router as a temporary arrangement before our new home address gets registered.

Been with them on the phone for the last 2 days and they can't even work out a discount - and they are quoting the same online price that we can see for a new customer.

Worst even, yesterday someone from EE offered me a better price and this morning someone else quoted me a higher price. I called them again this afternoon, the quoted price has increased.

Terrible router

Terrible router. It's a mockery of the customer. WI-FI is a nightmare. I have to reset to shit several times a day.

Poor Service.

Poor, poor service. Unfortunately went from BT to EE. Cannot get into EE app. Nothing online for help. Unable to phone for help (option not available).
Can’t see bill.
Did not have this issue with BT.

Disgusting Customer Service

Absolutely the worst customer experience from any telecommunications company. I wanted to migrate my existing BT Broadband to EE. I appreciate that they are now effectively one and the same. However, EE have WiFi 7 router which I think is much better than the BT Smart Hub 2. I spoke to Daniel at their Hull office who said i could migrate to a similar package but at an additional monthly cost. He also stated that I could not get their 1.6G deal even though this is available to my address. When I asked why, he did not know and neither did his colleagues. He confirmed that his manager, Ian Bacon, from the same Hull based office would call me back the following day to provide and explanation. Well here I am several days later and nothing. No call, no explanation, nothing. I’m done with EE and BT. Both my mobile phone and 2 x BB services (have a holiday home) will be migrated to alternatives. Terrible service, worse customer service and no sense of care. EE/BT need to take a look at the likes of First Direct and Octopus to get hints on great customer care.

Had EE full fibre installed 10th…

Had EE full fibre installed 10th December, since then I've lost all my now tv channels and lose my WiFi several times a day for a few minutes complaining just gets you long phone conversations try this try that

1 star is for too high a score for this…

1 star is for too high a score for this companies TV and landline telephone service. Since being compelled to switch from BT, whom provided our service for 5 years without problems, we have not had more then a couple of weeks without either our TV or landline going on the blink. Despite umpteen engineers (none of whom have been briefed on the nature of the problems) visits and numerous telephone calls to their in house ones, nothing has changed. We would like to avoid the hassle on moving to another supplier, but as EE seem to have no idea of how to fix this, we have no choice.

Flawless transition from BT

A lot of bad reviews on here so figured I'd give a positive story.

I live down a private road and as such have always been behind on internet speed and have been stuck on a maximum of 70Mb/s for years.

On the 5th of December Openreach emailed me to say Ultrafast was available in my area. As I was already a BT customer I was offered a switch to EE paying the same price as my existing contract but with a 13x increase in my download speeds.

I placed my order and chose an installation date of 13th Dec.

My fancy new Wi-Fi 7 router arrived on the 9th.
On the 13th the Openreach engineer turned up on time and spent around an hour installing the new gear, the work is very tidy.

I was working from home so said I needed to stay connected to my old internet until the new one was up and running, this wasn't a problem and the engineer was very accommodating.

As soon as he was done I connected to the new router and ran a speed test. I was instantly greeted with 940Mb/s download speed and it hasn't dipped below this once so far. For Wi-Fi this is incredible.

I've needed customer services once, I couldn't find my account number anywhere and needed it to set up the app. The phone was answered very quickly by someone in the UK and the issue was resolved within a minute or so.

I've only positive things to say so far.

Appalling service

Appalling service. Switched my mum over from BT being told it would be easy as BT and Ee work in collaboration. Got to go live date and router hadn't come. Rang up and was assured that one would be sent but would have to move go live date by a month. I was concerned as she is a pensioner and needs access to her phone. Was told her previous line wouldn't be disconnected until the go live date. A week later she was left with no phone and no Internet. Rang up weekly to be fobbed off with reasons router hasn't come. Got to 2nd go live date still no router and no phone. Rang up to cancel, can't cancel as order still not classed as processed. 6 weeks later no phone, ringing regularly for over an hour and no resolution. Can't even set her up with someone new as it's not registering who she is currently with. Absolutely Appalling company. Stay away, poor customer service, fake promises and no care at all. Trying to see what our next step is
