I have been refurbishing two bedrooms and have been into the shop and bought online a variety of items from binds to curtains etc. I found that in both instances staff and website have so very helpful , making my life easy and I am thrilled with everything I have bought. The quality is good, the ranges available feel beverages ending making the whole thing a very happy experience.

Decent heater and works well. But the dimensions given were totally different to the one advertised. It’s not hard, just measure HxDxW and put it Correctly on the website. I would have returned the item but knew it would be too difficult.

My order arrived on time and was well packeged. Very happy with it. However I didn’t get the option to select a date for delivery. I was giver an on or before date. Not very good if like me you work 9-5 and have to make arrangements to accept the delivery. My item arrived the day before the on date so it was sheer luck that I was home to accept. Considering I paid for delivery the clarity could be better.

Minimal wait times for live chat or to speak with an agent and both times issue resolved in first call. Helpful and understanding with a real desire to find a solution - just a couple of broken mugs in my case in a large delivery, but sorted quickly without fuss or argument and instant refund of postage for extras added to replacements. Perfect.

A tale of two extreme halves

Martin, the installer, was 5 star all the way - he arrived at 9:30 and worked hard until well into the afternoon installing all the blinds in various rooms - thanks Martin for a job done efficiently done, and to a very high standard!
Dunelm's customer service on the other hand only gets 2 stars - whilst they did well in selling us the blinds (and shutters), they did less well on fulfilling their promise of a pre-Christmas installation...our expectations were initially met when we received a 23/12 installation date (just in time for our Xmas eve visitors...only for these to be dashed two days later, when without warning the installation date was changed to the 28th, which was not in line with what we'd been 'sold' but immovable according to an in-store colleague and their manager following a personal visit to the store at which we'd made the purchase.
Accepting that Christmas would pass without new blinds or shutters, we awaited the installation on the later date...encouragingly, we received a reminder email on the day before the rearranged installation (not needed based on the frustrating experience thus far), but as promised, Martin arrived as expected on the morning of the 28th. So far so good, we thought, only to be greeted with a heartfelt apology and some frustration (directed at Dunelm) for the fact that whilst the blinds, which had arrived weeks earlier, were able to be fitted, the shutters, which constituted roughly two thirds the value of our purchase, were nowhere to be seen. Martin had been to collect them, but somehow they weren't ready, so not only will Martin have to return, but we will need to ensure someone is available to host a second installation visit. We look forward to welcoming you again Martin and have only praise for this young but mature professional's high work and personal standards...as for Dunelm, well you have some explaining to do to a fortunately but diminishingly patient customer as well as a fitter whose work capacity is clearly tight at the best of times, not least of all when the materials for his installations are not available as and when required...or is this a case of cause and effect?!

Good but poor delivery options

Very Happy

Had everything I wanted order came quickly and I was able to pick items up from the store which I couldn’t get delivered which was no problem, love Dunelm!

Could be good place to work

Some managements are really wonderful and work hard. But , you have this kind of so call team leaders looking to get promotions. They are rude, improsionnel. They see some staffs which is their target, harrass constantly by calling them even if they are in their post go back to till or whatever it is and no please or ask where about you are. They also gossip constantly about others staffs personal information they have been told by managements. They try to make themselves popular around their favourite staffs and getting them around to chat when others are working by themselves. If you compaint to management they bully you more and use their friends to isolate you by not talking to and constantly observing you or move to different places from or refusing to help you. They pretend working in team actually when store is closed staffs are pushing each others on the trolleys when you are doing all work. They ask questions with rudness if you respond the way they don't want they call you rude. The company himself is not racist and their trainings really is made for a peaceful place to work. They are quiet very diverse. But, the staffs who are employed made the store look like is their own mum and dad company. They segrate people, some of them are actually very racist to others, not only the white ones are . If you reported it they make your work harder and pass around about you make comments like hate or racism. Some staffs make very unfriendly posts in WhatsApp or go through your profile and make nausty religious remarks and manament don't block or remove it. So called team leaders speak about personal information about customers when they pass next to others customers. Personals details of names of staffs and surname are left around the till customers can see and even take pictures and find you if they have a problem with you. Staffs, calling others staffs names or labels them, when all this has been mention on the training part of making you colleagues feel bad.They don't stop sending you module for training which take ours to finish and no one care to apply it. You are call to get the f....trolley all kinds humiliating words next to customers. On the headset nausty works are made directed to some staffs. I heard a lot about me from management and his leaders or so called helpers.

Not great service

Not great service, 1 person serving at the till with a large queue of people waiting. Collections a mess. stuff everywhere and again only 1 person.
Then as I was leaving I saw 4 men in suits who worked there in a group chatting taking no notice of the issues in the shop. Where was the Manger?. Who monitors that area as you were not short of staff i saw many.
Surely the customer should come first.

You only take 1 voucher but if gift is over £100 you need more

I had 3 vouchers (1 x £100 and 2 x £25) to buy a rug I like but you will only accept 1 voucher per transaction. I am sure, legally, if I have offered to pay the company has to say yes but... computer said no. So I gave up.

Temu better

Terrible - fake 2hr available service, items in stock that are not and customer service trained in a circus. Now I am stuck with a gift card for this terrible company.
