Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Generally positive experience

Upside:
I have a travel insurance through AIG. They've covered the incidents that has happened to me, and I've found them to be fair according to their terms. This is what an insurance company should do in the end, and that's why I'm giving 4 stars.

Downsides:
Case processing is quite slow (took well above 3 weeks for me), and communication is kinda broken, as there's such a delay that you'd rather not communicate. Also they had quite a few extra questions/demands, which I didn't appreciate, as you want support when something bad happens to you, not to feel like you're proving that you deserve something and they do you a favor.

Also the online claim submission forms can be improved, as they don't save the progress, and you can't see your case after submission. So their system is also not the best.
