We purchased a bed and a mattress for our second bedroom, and we were not sure about which mattress to go for but Aideen was very helpful and patient to explain everything about the mattress and bed for us . She is a very friendly person and easy to deal with.

The fitting was delayed twice and then…
The fitting was delayed twice and then when they did finally arrive on the Wednesday two weeks after the first arranged appointment the fitters were given the wrong flooring so I had to contact Des Kelly’s again and after more phone calls I finally got another appointment for the Friday to get the correct flooring. This was very disappointing and inconvenient for me. I never had a problem before with the service as I have bought a lot of flooring from Des Kelly in the past.

Great Service and Friendly Staff for First Time Buyers
We had a great experience with Mary from Des Kelly on the Long Mile Road. We had visited the store multiple times to look around and decide what we liked and what would work well for us. The staff were always really friendly and so knowledgeable about everything on display. Mary was really helpful and gave us some great tips as first time buyers looking to fully furnish our new home. Some really good deals for DK members and in the sales. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Good communication, bed arrived when they said it would, brought to the door (3rd floor flat), happy with product - rung to confirm delivery prior as I'd just had a terrible experience with one of the big Scandinavian retailers who use DPD. Nice to have a local delivery team that gave a straightforward experience, someone picking up the phone and nothing dumped in the middle of the street for a change!

Fantastic Customer Service Experience and High Quality Product - We sourced fitted carpets and underlay for our new home from Des Kelly in Navan. From the outset to the fitting of our carpets we have had an excellent experience and we are delighted with the finished product. We would like to give special mention to Arun in the Navan DK Store, he was an absolute professional, incredibly patient and he made the entire process completely hassle free. We will definitely return to DK Navan in the future.

Endless problems
Multiple issues from inception through to fitting, and still no response from customer service 48+ later. Absolutely zero interest in providing customer service it seems.
Firstly, we told the fitters when they arrived to install carpets in our four bedrooms that in all the rooms wardrobes had been newly fitted and both them and the walls were freshly painted, and asked them to please take care not to damage them. They said they would, but notwithstanding that fact they have marked wardrobes and walls in every.single.room. We specifically left carpets until last at their request, having our painters finish their touch-ups after windows were installed but before carpets. The window fitters did not leave as many marks on walls and wardrobes as their fitters! Now we're left in a situation where we have to pay a painter to come back to fix DK fitters' mess.
Secondly, when trying to make sense of the measurements DK took but wouldn't share, which were quite a bit higher than another company's fitter had quoted, he told us they must have been working with quantities that would result in visible cuts which he STRONGLY advised against. Despite being dubious we went with his advice and paid the extra. Despite this, we have visible cuts in the carpet across the the middle of two of the four rooms. We paid a couple of hundred more than we were sure we ought to have so as to specifically avoid this, so to say we're Raging doesnt quite cover it.
Finally, we bought extra carpet to do our stairs and landing matching but are putting off installation until the new year as we're expecting our first baby next week and the painting required to go with that job would have pushed us too close to my due date. We were also told by DK that they would store that carpet for us, but the fitters said that wasn't possible, it would get dumped and that we needed to store it - so now we're left with that too.
We've had 3 other companies in the last few weeks doing significant work on windows, wardrobes and painting and to say that their service from start to finish has been the shoddiest is an understatement. Our first home consult wasn't registered in their system so they never showed. Trying to make sense of their quote, get responses, and get any form of follow up when trying to change the delivery date was a fruitless exercise in perseverance. But to be left with such a crappy finished product is beyond enraging. Now we've been waiting 48hours + for a response from customer service. Never again.
