A good system for its price range, it significantly automates processes, particularly the connection between HR and Payroll. What can I say about Employment Hero, it started out with such potential but over the years the way they treat their clients has dimished considerably. As I want to keep this review short i'll just point out the main issues. Support - Absolutely useless when it matters. No number to call so your stuck waiting, sometimes weeks to months. Simple items are solved quickly but 80% of the time I solve it myself waiting for a reply. Anything slightly difficult and your on your own. They refuse to admit when they're the reason, had to fight tooth and nail just to get them to admit the cause was just a system glitch due to an update. Clients do not received notifications of ensuing updates and changes to the interface and fields. They don't keep any back-ups and while obviously having the ability (Dozen's of IT specialists have confirmed) to retrieve prior items (items no longer available) in at least in an archive form, they will not help. Last but not least, it was sold to us as a compliance platform but doesn't not ensure complete compliance. You will still need to workout alot of stuff manually and do not expect to get a yearly audit report easily like you would with any of the other leading providers. They may seem like a cheap option but ultimately costly over the long run. On the other hand they do have some good features and if your business and your reporting is very simple its not a bad choice, just expect everything to change the moment you get a proper handle on how it is layed out and functions. The display use to be excellent and very easy to use, not you have scroll and click multiple times before you can get to the pages you need. Also more difficult to see and the pages are really noisy now (too much information layed out across the screen in way that requires the eyes to work extra hard)

We are just about to go live with the Payroll system. It's been easy to navigate and follow in the setup, the help function on each section of the software is really useful, the customer services team are great, I have had many of the team help me with queries in the setup, and they are responsive and knowledgeable. Really happy so far. Looking forward to implementing HRIS next year.

Employment Hero is new to our company
Employment Hero is new to our company. It has been very useful to have Payroll & HR so newbies can complete their own details, leave, and it push through to the system, without manually handling the information which our previous system needed us to do. Starting on timesheets next pay run, so hopefully this works well. Team is very friendly to ask questions.

Good robust system but customer support could be easier to reach
Employment Hero offers a compelling HRIS and ATS solution that balances functionality, user-friendliness, and affordability. Its intuitive interface and robust feature set streamline HR processes. The help center provides valuable resources, and the company’s pre-built templates are handy for internal communications. However, the recent shift towards chatbot support has made direct communication with customer service more complicated and lengthy, and a dedicated email for tech support is still the way to go if we are to resolve issues that Admins cannot.

My Favourite HRIS to Date
I was not part of the initial implementation of EH in our business, but I have been using it every day for the past 7 months and it has been my favourite HRIS to date (I have used various CRMs and other HRIS' probably 6 in total). From an aesthetic point of view, the interface is pleasing to the eye with an almost minimalist, sleek look (main colours are silver/grey, white, and purple!). From an operational standpoint, it's been one of the easiest HRIS' to use, very straightforward and user-friendly - if you have never been familiar with the system and were suddenly thrown in the deep end to learn it in a day, I have no doubt whatsoever that anyone already familiar with HRIS' could pick it up quite fast. One of my favourite features are the in-built ready made templates (HR Documents and Policies for NZ and AU) where you have the ability to clone and make it tailored to your own business. Having a basic foundation makes our lives a lot easier (and no need to reinvent the wheel). Not to mention having regular updates about any changes to EH features, so clients like us are well aware. In terms of my issues, they are minor and more "it would be nice" efficient tweaks that will make it even more easier to use, but overall I highly encourage other potential clients to look into using EH as their HRIS!

Good, but not the best option
While Employment Hero offers some useful features, I found that the other product I compared it to had a more intuitive interface and better overall functionality for my needs. The customer support was decent, but I didn’t find it as responsive as I expected. If you're looking for something more user-friendly and feature-rich, I’d recommend considering other options.

Developer led app with little care about end users
Support during sales and onboarding. Just want to get you onboarded and locked in, then pretty much don't want to deal with you. Small nuisances in app design are met with "it is what it is". Support ongoing is just pointing you to the basic web help or useless ai bot.

Great programme
Wasn't a system I had used before but is interactive for HR and Payroll. The Customer support online was amazing- very informative and patient with a wealth of expertise to assist & solve my complicated payroll pension and benefit issues when initially setting up. Would recommend.
