I recently got locked out of my house without a phone to hand I had the think on my feet so I walked into the office of Environ like a damsel in distress and was greeted by Andreas and Terry. They immediately grabbed a tool bag and followed me to my house, then gained entry for me in minutes. So very kind of them to help me, I am so very grateful.. I will be using this company in future for sure!
As promised they turned up three times and were very polite. They placed rat traps but didn't catch a single rat over 3 weeks (all inside the house, under the floor board and the attic)
I need to add that before I called them I placed poison and the rats had eaten most of them. Some of them appeared to have died under the floorboards.
They also charged me for a drain CCTV inspection. The trap visits and the drain CCTV cost me over £500!
So basically I spent over £500 to catch no rats.
They want to install a drain valve to prevent the rats entering the property at a cost of £1500!
I requested a partial refund but they declined.
Environ responded to my enquiry within hours, they were able to give me an appointment quite quickly and they communicated well with me via email. When the operatives arrived to carry out the work they were friendly, polite and helpful. They also resolved the problem.

Not close, there is no cigar!

Work completed was good
The work completed was of a good quality and if we just consider the investigation and the completion of the actual work then I would rate my experience as good. Unfortunately the team let themselves down with the planning if there are a number of project tasks to be managed. They can only seem to focus on one task at a time which elongates the whole process. And information being passed between teams seems to get lost. A small point but irritating was that I told them a number of times to contact me for parking as I can get at 50% of the normal but they continued to charge at full price. Putting the admin issues to the side I was happy with the technical advice given and work completed.

I am overseas and needed a pre purchase damp inspection/report done. Dealing with the office personnel (Lola) was great - vey responsive and effectively coordinated access to the apartment with the relevant parties. Daniel was the damp specialist who conducted the survey for us. Daniel was highly professional, knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. I had my brother who WhatsApp me so I could ask the relevant questions to Daniel during the inspection. He patiently responded to my questions and explained things in a way that made sense. Daniel was very thorough in inspecting both internal and also the rooftop and an external down pipe alongside the outer wall that I initially had concerns with. Report with photos was made available to me within 24 hours of inspection. It was worth the spending the extra cost to get a specialist opinion on the damp concerns which the initial Building Surveyor had raised. I strongly recommend Environ Property Services ...they are not there to sell products or any other services. I should add, I was only able to get an appointment about 10 days after I accepted the quote - perhaps an indication they must be in high demand, so a good sign but obviously you need to be patient or not needing inspection ultra urgently.

The customer service on the whole was excellent. Darren was sympathetic, approachable, courteous and efficient. He explained the situation and the steps required very clearly. I would highly recommend. Better communication would be useful, listening to customer requests such as no smoking or vaping on site. Had to send them a snagging list and was disappointed as expected more professionalism. Embarrassingly disappointed
Embarrassingly disappointed. We decided to use Environ as we expected a company that would deliver high quality work. This isn't the case. We had independent post work reviews and each told us the same thing - poor quality work that wouldn't solve the issues we were facing. We are now faced with having to have their work removed and repaired to finally solve our damp issue. Please do not use them.

We understand that certain elements of our recommended approach—such as full scaffolding, internal works, and drainage/gutter surveys—were not pursued, and we respect your decision. However, our approach to addressing building issues, including dampness, is grounded in a thorough, stage-by-stage process designed to provide lasting solutions by targeting root causes. For example, after addressing the initial set of 30 bricks that allowed water infiltration, we advised an additional repair of 30 more bricks to proactively prevent future issues.
Our three-stage process is as follows:
Investigation – Our surveyors identify not only damp symptoms but also underlying causes, such as structural or drainage issues. This professional assessment sets the groundwork for effective moisture control.
Preliminary Work – Before treatment, we allow a drying period in line with British Standards, ensuring that the property is prepared for the final stage of treatment.
Implementation – Our team applies the damp treatment to complete the process.
We are concerned, however, that our findings may not have been accurately interpreted, as there are indications that a qualified surveyor may not have been engaged on your end. Professional surveys require specific expertise and calibrated equipment to diagnose damp issues accurately. We’re concerned that conclusions may have been based on a basic store-bought damp meter, which provides limited data and may lead to incorrect assessments. Such equipment does not replace the insight and expertise of a qualified surveyor, who can detect underlying issues that could otherwise be missed.
At Environ Property Services, we are committed to transparency and provide detailed reporting to ensure our recommendations are clearly communicated. Since every building presents unique conditions, we sometimes recommend additional specialist surveys to address suspected underlying issues. Our liability is limited to the conditions observed during our survey, but we work diligently to identify and address issues thoroughly, based on the data and diagnostic methods available.
