Great experience with Investec. Our online-only experience with them in connection with a a one year fixed rate bond was very good. Good communications, especially when the bond was about to mature, providing advice regarding our options, final statement, closure of account etc. We've got other investment options in hand at the moment but would certainly consider Investec again in the future.
Simple to open account and overall process of adding funds to the account is easy to do.
There is only a short window to add funds to the account ( 1 year fixed ) . It would be better if this was extended slightly.
There is no " cooling off " period if you change your mind within a very short space of time which is unusual compared to other providers which may deter people from opening accounts.
Rate was competitive.
Opening an online account with Investec is really easy, the interest rate is excellent and account management is very simple. That's all I could ask for.
Much easier to navigate than some sites. Transparent and straightforward. But remember you don't earn any interest in the easy access account if you have less than £5000 in it.

I was initially nervous about setting up the savings account online since it all seemed so easy. And that's just it, it's incredibly easy to set the account up and to deal with Investec.
It took no time at all to go from setting up the account, depositing my money and all controllable via the online site.
There is a really quick online chat service with a real person if you need it. I used the chat a couple of times to query account types and interest rates etc. Just to make sure I was in the right place. Advice was clear and easy and really helped.
It's unusual for me to do everything online in this way so I wanted some reassurance I suppose. No need to worry at all and I would recommend Investec.

Overall good thank you. There is a “but”
I thought I’d ask for any accrued interest to be paid into my bank account. Interest in one of my accounts is being paid the other isn’t?
Apparently this can’t be changed? Is that correct and if so why? Thanks
