First Kippy I ordered along with a 2 year plan that costs £99. Worked well for about two weeks then Live function stopped working. Emailed support and was sent a replacement. Existing data plan keeps failing to be transferred to replacement Kippy. Last time I heard was my case has been passed to IT. Since then, I tried a few more times to transfer and emailed support a few more times with no response. I’ve asked for a refund several times with no response. Now that I’m one month into a two year plan with two faulty Kippy and no support at all. Feels like a total scam to me.

I started to use Kippy EVO 4 years ago for my first dog, a stubborn Shiba inu. He escaped at least 10 times in the first 2 years and thi GPS device helped me find him every time. Since that he learned to stay and now I use the device for my second, also stubborn Shiba inu, and until he learns his boundaries and stays with me all the time, this Kippy EVO will be our most useful equipment. The subscription is good, totally worth it and the application too.

The subscription system is tricky and not transparent
I was quite happy with my Kippy GPS device, then I decided to buy the new version, smaller. This version can't be turned on with a button, only plugging it to the charger. There is no button! Moreover the GPS signal is weaker. I decided to go back to use my old Kippy but they told me I cannot revert and I would need to buy another subscription for my old device.

Cat went bald ,is it because she's long hair
I removed my kippy cat collar from the cat yesterday to charge up,I've not had it that long,the yellow green silicone cat collar ,just to notice collar was making cat bald,shes semi long hair,would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for that,item being returned,or cancel subscription till , kitten big enough as she's a short hair,or hope my sandy fawn ginger 2 yr 4 month old cat returns that completely vanished of the face of bo'ness

For two days application does not work…
For two days application does not work at all, even the name of app is changed to petlink kippy🤷 When tried to re install it does not even let me connect, just saying network error. This is happening for many times now, they so not offer support, refund, they usually only respond after couple of days - "sorry we had an issue." We live in City area where is not 100% safe to let cat without it. This is really frustrating. The only purpose of the app and the device is to track animal and they constantly "have issues".

Non existent support
The product page doesn't mention that you are actually required to use Kippy's "service package" in order to use the product.
This information is only presented to you right after you pay for the product (which is on purpose, otherwise they would process everything on 1 transaction, but that is not what happens).
As soon as I have noticed this, I sent an email canceling my order. Please note that this was on June 28th, so 3 days ago. To my surprise, today I receive an automated email from them with my shipping tracking info.
So far, it's been a terrible experience and I cannot recommend it.

Terrible customer service
App contiuously buffering, no one there to help with any troubleshooting, and runs off Vodafone signal, of which Vodafone has recently shut off 3G service near us and we don't receive anything else so this is now redundant. Trying to cancel the subscription with absolutely no constructive help at all. Battery was also historically terrible and you'd need to charge every night without fail, more often recently. WE're moving to PitPat as have heard its much more reliable, not subscription based and robust!

Not working but now sorted after review here
Sadly my Kippy Evo and the App that can be downloaded online do not work. The app keeps telling me that my network speed is slow. I have 1 GB fibre.. The app will not start despite deleting and re entering my details. Also I have tried to create a new account which has the same result, network slow. This is nonsense. I have tried to complain online but the app simpy said no operatives were busy. When I had an email response it was dismissive, I still have no postive result. No direct phone number, no direct email. Frustrated!
Kippy website clearly not translated to English properly, nor is this.... Numero ordine? Please!

So kippy contacted me after my review explaining that there was a problem at their end regarding web access and not my side. They sorted this out in a day or so and quite reasonably asked me to update my review. Now I have seen it working for a month I can say that the system does work. There are issues with sensitivity to the gps signal and time for update but I suspect this is the same for all trackers due to the technology used.
I was pretty annoyed at their passing off the problem as mine with a casual app message, when it clearly wasnt. This makes me doubt their honesty if there is a future episode.
However its working now and I'm grateful.

I'm having issues with the battery
I'm having issues with the battery. It lasts maximum 3 days If I have everything disabled( like not using any of the features) and they claim 7 days. I have reached them and they were not willing to help me. They said it's because bad signal etc although I'm living in Sweden(famous for great telecommunications everywhere). They Sent me a new one and still same. Now I need to stay for multiple years with this Device because I have bought a multi-year subscription (I think 5). That means I need to charge it every 2 days(if I leave it for 3 days, the 3rd day will be on the totally limit without using it, and in case I need to track the dog it will turn off) for the next 5 years, or find a good lawyer maybe.

disappointing product, appalling customer service
I bought the device and less than a year after (not very intensive use) it would not turn on. After some back and forth i got a free replacement and paid for subscription and also device insurance which would guarantee a free replacement.
Device stopped working again (truth be told, even when supposedly working i never thought it was very accurate in terms of position nor updating and the geofencing was really useless), and i asked for a replacement which i thought would not be an issue but instead of a polite response and swift replacement customer service was asking for photos and this and that, as though instead of being a loyal customer for a number of years i was some kind of scammer taking advantage of their replacement service? (for which, mind you, i was paying a monthly fee on top of the service fee)
I admittedly got really annoyed and ask them to cancel my account, to which i got the bluntest of responses. Not a word of apology or anything.
I am not someone who usually rants or writes scathing reviews but i was so disappointed that this really should be known: disappointing product, appalling customer service.
UPDATE: the Kippy team replied that there have been no interactions with them since 2022, so I invite them to review richiesta 83228 from Jan 30th 2024 and the way in which they were more helpful in guiding me into deactivating my account rather than replacing the device, for which I had an active insurance.

I'm a HUGE FAN of Kippy
I'm a HUGE FAN of Kippy! Since the first one I bought it changed my life. My dog wanders a lot and this way I can always check where he is. My dog goes to the beach and this is safe for him to play in the waves! For the first time I had an issue with the old device and Customer Service was super helpful and very pleasant to connect with. One suggestion: to be possible to assign a new Kippy to an existent Service Package if the original is broken. Thank you and Happy Holidays

The worst customer service I have ever come across, I still haven't managed to get my money back!
After my review was posted I was assured that Kippy would arrange a courier to collect the Kippy so I could have my money back for this hopelessly ineffective tracker. However 6 weeks later despite me messaging several times again this still hasn't happened. So I'm still out of pocket and suggest you avoid this tracker.
It didn't work in my area despite other trackers working well, usually said I was around 5 miles from where I actually was. Very slow and clunky customer service. I eventually got a refund for the subscription and told to return the unit to Italy which I did at my own expense. several weeks later it arrived back to my house marked "Refused" So I am out of pocket.

5 hours battery, useless
Bought the new Kippy Cat GPS collar becaude it looked less bulky for a cat. 150 euros with 1 year SIM. Battery last 4-5 hours within Wifi reach, vs several days promised. Complaint on autonomy got me some standard answer Autonomy depends on usage. 150 euros wasted. Avoid.
