The prospect of faster speeds for a lower price induced me to investigate Lightspeed. They also offered a contract buy out option at the time, so that was a plus. Meena explained everyhting and we booked an installation date (this was delayed 1 week due to engineer sickness, but this hiccup was well communicated and in the circumstances understandable). Installation day came with a visit to the outside by cable engineers who were very friendly and made themselves known to us. Installation engineer arrived later in the morning and everything was installed in consultation with us, the equipement explained and app' set up before he left leaving the work area clean. Not a single negative exeprince in the journey so far
Called for support with TV not connecting to WiFi, Joe was brilliant. Really easy instructions, explained what he was doing and 15 mins later all TVs in house connected and working. Excellent service, Joe is a star ⭐!!!
Just spoke to a lovely man called paolo at lightspeed who was so friendly and explained the whole process of switching from our currently provider to lightspeed. He helped every step of the way and only finished the call once he was happy I understood everything and had talked me through everything I needed to do

What a breath of fresh air Lightspeed are! Fantastic product, customer service and problem solving. Slight problem with our duct to road cable access point being blocked but soon resolved and we were up and running when they said. Speeds are great and no dips in service, slight issue connecting printer to wifi but resolved straight away by techy Chris. thoroughly recommend.

Its good to change!
Apart from an issue with getting the cable along the pipe to the house the instalation went well. The connection and set up was carried out in a proffesional way and the app was explained very well.
I have had no issues with dropping out as l always had with copper cable internet. The wifi was ok around thre house but l needed it to cover the covered garden were l sometimes work. I purchased a Nokia node to extend the coverage and the whole property has coverage.
I constantly get over 1,000 mbs upload and 950 down load.

I joined Lightspeed Broadband in Stamford at the end of last year, one of the initial roll out.

New ISP and the poor support that comes with it
Being a content creator and relying heavily on the internet to provide content and create revenue I was super excited to finally hear my village was getting some decent fast internet.
Lightspeed offered by far the best upload speeds which really sounded great for my youtube uploads. Signed up for the system to be notified when its available and never received an email, on the off chance I just checked one day and could signup.
Booked the first install I could but I had been waiting for so long I expected issues and wasnt wrong, the install guy was a nice fella but there was so many issues with poles and everything else, it got fitted just by the end of the day but was told it was a dark install and wouldnt work.
Its now a week later from the install I have chased most days and not been given a single update to when someone will come and resolve the issue, there is no point me going from slow internet to a service where i cant even get it fixed when it goes down.
Very few members of staff so you always speak to the same person and just seems no care about actually getting customers issues resolved.
To enter into the market as a new ISP and then provide such shocking support doesnt hold out high hopes for the company lasting long. I guess great speeds are too good to be true once again.
You have people all over Norfolk chatting advertising and having coffee with people, maybe you need more of a support and backbone structure instead of all the marketing hype.
Elon can send a rocket to Mars yet you cant send a man to splice a new connection on my phone pole?

Absolutely amazing
Absolutely amazing, the moment they expanded into my area I was pleased with how fast they said they would install and start service, the engineer arrived and installed a new fiber line and set up the router. Speeds were insanely fast and stable (100 up and down) and has been amazing so far (around two weeks ago ±)
The only one downside is port forwarding doesn't really work behind cgnat but the nice guy at their tech support called me back and explained it all and helped me resolve the issue (reverse proxy and then cloudflare ipv6 to ipv4) so it bypasses the issue entirely. Would recommend to anyone looking to get out of one of the bigger providers that put far less effort in and charge ridiculous money for sub par service.

100/10 service at LightSpeed Broadband!
The Team at LightSpeed Broadband is phenomenal, got put through with Jessica P and she was extremely helpful! Initially Lightspeed couldn’t provide to my address as it is a new build, but when i got through to Jessica she made sure to keep an eye on my case everyday, to contact me with updates and to raise all the enquires with the right teams. Because of her and her team i was able to get their amazing broadband and possibly made some friends along the way. The process to add my address onto their server only took a few days and as soon as it was on they let me know so i could make an order.
Tim was the salesman i spoke to and he made the sale very clear and quick which was a relief as signing on for anything can be a bit confusing but Tim made sure to answer all questions. All in all 100/10 service!

Excellent service
The whole Lightspeed experience has been a breath of fresh air compared to other ISP's, they rang the evening before installation, gave us 30 minutes notice on the day and arrived bang on time. Quick installation, set up the app for me on my phone, swept up the little bit of brick dust where they drilled through the wall and left, all within 2 hours. All going well speedwise, no more little blue buffering wheel! Highly recommended.

Lightspeed are Light Years ahead of the competition!
We’ve been really impressed with Lightspeed right from the beginning. The sign up process was easy and straight forward, and we were kept up to date prior to and throughout the installation. The engineer even helped us set up the Nokia app on our phone.
The broadband speed is excellent right through the house, and even reaches what were wifi dead spots before. There honestly isn’t a thing we’d change regarding our experience so far with Lightspeed. We think they’re light years ahead of the competition.

Misleading availability checker?
The Availability Checker says "We're working on it", so we asked the customer service how and when this full-fibre service could be ordered. They couldn't give us any answer, not even a rough estimate as to when it can be ordered. We now got the impression that it simply won't be available at all. Their website should be more honest.
Update 9/6/2023: Almost a year later, still the same vague "We're working on it!" on the website online checker, and the LightSpeed customer service wasn't able to provide a realistic ETA either, let alone offer static IP-addresses which was promised more than 1 1/2 years ago by the form CEO Steve Haines. It's a real pity, because your fibre service would have been ideal, but as it is, we'll have to go with an Openreach-based fibre service now for the next 12 months or so.

Excellent Broadband
Well had Lightspeed for a couple of weeks now and what a difference! No more buffering whilst on calls and downloading programmes and films is no longer a preplanned event! Downloaded a series and two films to my iPad in less than 5 mins with my old provider this would have taken at least an hour.
The customer service is excellent and the install went great with a really helpful engineer. He positioned the router were we wanted it, even though the main inlet to the house was near the kitchen!
Love the fact you get full access to the hub and settings.
If it’s in your area your crazy not to switch is a game changer for anyone in a busy household that relies on broadband.
The days of buffering have long gone. Well done Lightspeed.

What can i say? They wipe the floor with ALL our previous suppliers! Customer service is friendly and they know what they are talking about or put you straight through to someone who does. When they say they'll call you back they do!
From application to completed install everything goes smoothly. The install engineer was helpful and worked with us to get the hub/router where we needed it. We run a hardwired network within the home and so it had to be with our network.
You have FULL access to you hub, although some say you dont, you just have to ask for the super user password (different for each hub).
The Nokia hub/router is the best we have ever had from any supplier. We NEVER use ISPs equipement, but Lightspeeds kit is really good.
I cant fault lightspeed in any way.
