Our History
Murtaghs started trading in Dublin in the late 1800’s as a corn and grain merchants before expanding to Ashbourne, Co. Meath in 1957. Today, we have 2 stores, one in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, and the other in Sandymount, Dublin. We also have a new Trade Centre for builders and trade customers.
Today, Topline Murtaghs is still family owned and is now headed by Colin Murtagh who represents the fourth generation to lead the business.

Malfunctioning Portable Gas Heater
Unfortunately the portable Gas Fire was faulty and had to be returned. I am awaiting return of my money for the purchase. Another thing to consider would be the courier company ( Fastway) ; they called at the delivery address without prior warning; no email, no sms, no phone call and expect that someone should be there. They then attempted to deliver again without advanced notification, left the item outside the house and indicated that a signature was obtained from me, the customer, which clearly didn't happen as I wasn't present. Alex was helpful in actioning my refund and I await receipt of monies into my account.
The staff at the Sandymount outlet were helpful when I returned the item. Unfortunately, overall it wasn't a pleasant experience for me as a customer and I do hope that improvements will be made when I make future purchases.
