Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous! Do not join this company. Continuously increase premiums by extortionate amounts! Way over inflation & vet bill increases!! £53 to £131 a month and absolutely never claimed! Service is awful. Ombusman made them pay me back for unfair treatment and they still continue to try their luck. Worst insurance company I have ever come across and I work in the industry. Do not use them!

Fail to acknowledge claims to mitigate financial liabilities

At the time of writing this is ongoing but after nearly 2 months they are yet to acknowledge the claim that has been submitted. They take week to reply and obviously don't want to pay out. Both my bet and I have contacted them on several occasions and they just ignore the communications or send a generic reply that doesn't help the customer only themselves!

Without doubt the worst pet insurance company I have had the miss fortune of using to date!

READ THE SMALL PRINT

READ THE SMALL PRINT
My dog had a fat lump on him for years, no issues. Petwise documents state they won’t treat something as pre existing if no vet advise/treatment needed in the last two years. However there definition of ‘treatment’ lists a number of things including ‘any examination’ So because I done my job as a responsible dog owner and took my dog for his general health checks every six months and the vet done his job my doing a full check of my dog including the lumps they have DECLINED the claim. The vets confirmed there had been no issues with the lump up until removal. ONE note in the last 12 months from regular health check I didn’t take him to the vets to get them checked no issues with them etc just a NOTE confirming it’s there?! Like they fall off?! Of course the vet will keep an eye on them. This basically in hind sight could make most things ‘pre existing’ ear infection - if then the vet’s note mentioned ‘checked ears’?! What is covered is the question! I will be cancelling and I will be complaining to the ombudsman over the unfair wording!! Poor poor poor - DO NOT BUY

EDIT -18-12-24 Ombudsman ruled in MY favour I will finally get my claim paid.

Pet insurance renewal with Petwise…

Pet insurance renewal with Petwise Senior.
Call centre staff are knowledgeable, polite & helpful.
Premiums have hugely increased over the last 18 months, however that is a sector wide issue.
Lifetime 4000 policy amended to lifetime 2000, would have liked an in between option eg lifetime 3000.
Overall level of service very good though, that’s what made me decide to remain with Petwise.
Nb. Admin through Insurance Factory Ltd, watch for this on incoming emails

My pet received a toy for his birthday

My pet received a toy for his birthday. A "Go Dog Play" toy which is supposed to be made out of reinforced fabric. Well, this toy only lasted an hour. I contacted the company and I was told since I did not have a receipt (remember now this is a pet toy and it was a gift) I did not qualify for the free one time replacement that the company offers!? Remind you I have all the original tags which told me how to contact the company which told me that they stood behind their product which is actually false because once you get to their website if you don't have a receipt your automatically denied. Well, I'm sorry but I don't keep receipts for dog toys and neither do my friends when they're giving them as gifts. You don't expect to have that kind of a problem, but if you're a reputable company and you're offering a replacement, then you should stand behind it. I sent them video of my dog playing with the toy and he is a 1-year-old French bulldog. I also sent them pictures of the item. The place where it was damaged in the stuffing was coming out and all of the tags which I still had. It's a little ridiculous that companies scam you with a bogus return policy or a bogus replacement policy. If you're a reputable company like several other mail order companies, it's not even a question of what is the problem. It's a question of how can we help you. This company is not helpful in any way, shape or form.
My dog is one. Had this been a positive experience, they would have had at least 10 more years of me purchasing their product. Now they have zero chances of me or my friends as a buyer! So Buyer Beware. They definitely do not stand by their policy. Their policy is their direct No! Under any circumstance without that almighty receipt and I'm sorry but I don't normally give a puppy a toy and say to the owner. Here's the receipt in case you have a problem. I have My two emails to their company and if there was a way to upload them I would and their response. I just find it very unfair. Buyer beware!

UPDATE: On April 5th I received a plain plastic bag package with just my address on it. No note enclosed no explanation just the package and in the package was a toy.
A replacement toy from Petwise. Not the same toy, but that's but it took an honesty review on trustpilot For them to do anything. This was received after two in email responses that told me there was no way they could do anything for me as they did not have proof of purchase in the last 30 days and that is their policy! So I sent them one more return email with a copy of my trustpilot review in it telling them I review honestly!
Thank you for the replacement toy
