ludicrous cancellation charge when needing to close the account due to no longer having property. Only £13 a month policy and charged £39.08. Had them for years too and never claimed. Took all day to get it sorted too. Not impressed.

Nice friendly customer service agent efficient at her job. The big but as usual the answer machine says we are exceptionally busy at the moment. Come on this is car insurance! We are all fed up of hearing how busy companies are. Hire more staff or take the stupid message off the system
I rang up because I couldn't access my policy documents. The lady I spoke to was friendly and helpful, checking everything thoroughly and making sure it was fully resolved (and tested) before ending the call. No redundant questions, relying on a script, or treating me like an idiot. If all my calls to customer support places were like this, I'd be a happy man.
Trying to renew student contents insurance, and make a couple of changes. I rang the number on the website - passed to someone else, who passed me to someone else and so on. After spending about 1.5 hours speaking to 7 different people, it appears no one is able to renew insurance. It’s basically not possible to discuss a policy, or amend it, or renew. And no one can help. Needless to say, I won’t be using Endsleigh again.

I am being charged by endsleigh for nothing!
I have just received a landlords renewal quotation for the 22nd August 2022. I always pay my landlords insurance, plus extra insurance in full for the 12 months up front.
I have just sold the house. So I called the renewal line just to let you know out of courtesy, I do not need to renew I have just sold the house. Only to be told I will be charged a fee for cancelling my policy. I did not mention cancelling my current policy, I have paid for in full for the year. All I called to say, was that I do not need to renew on the 22nd August. Only to be told I will still be charged a fee? I said I do not want anything back for the few days I no longer own the house, I am just letting you know I do not need to renew. The man on the phone said, I must cancel your policy and you will incur a fee!
Is this how you treat a customer who pays for a year insurance in advance, never claimed and has used you for several years. There is no Direct Debit to even cancel, no admin for you. I have already paid for the year and I didn't ask for my policy to be cancelled. I am so upset, I feed it's extremely unjust.

no longer renewing contents insurance
Have been a loyal customer with Endsleigh for over 10 years. Have always paid fees on time and have never made a claim. Despite this Endsleigh have decided not to continue with contents insurance policies for renewing customers.
The way I was informed about this was so poor that I genuinely believed it to be a scam. When I contacted Endsleigh about this via their chat system (many times) they never replied. It wasn't until I checked and discovered that I was no longer being charged by Endsleigh, that I conformed this was legimate.
Really appalled by how I have been treated.
When signing up for new policies, I realised how much Endsleigh were ripping me off (their prices had risen by a lot).
Would not recommend them at all.

Endsleigh: life-time family ban on their products
Update: March 2022. Endsleigh responded because of this review. They requested I engage directly with them. Thus I havd attempted, but unfortunately the CEO and customer services have totally ignored my emails once again. Status quo. Be warned, if you have to claim, even ONE storm damage claim after over 20 years claim-free, they will resist, there is a very good chance they WILL NOT pay out. Take a chance. My family have have imposed a life ban on Endsleigh products. Disgraceful company.
I note many more people hate Endsleigh too because they DO NOT PAY OUT VALID CLAIMS Endsleigh are in summary a nasty company who do not pay out on storm damage claims and many others too. Disabled Customer who have been with them for a very long oeriod of time was distraught when his FIRST CLAIM EVER was rejected and they ignored appeals to reconsider their position. THEY concluded that when s storm causes damage they don't pay out because they consider that a storm didn't blow the door, roof and windows in on a garage. I wanted to take them through the courts, but the customer was physically and mentally not able to continue with the pressure. Endsleigh you cannot be trusted and have cheated what was one of your longest and most trusted customers.

Terrible IT based customer experience
The customer serivce team staff & prices are OK / Good.
However the IT systems and associated customer experience are a disaster. Trying to reset a password does not work when they send you an email several hrs after the request but it cant be used as expired 30 mins after the request.
And when accessing the online self service portal is also a nightmares.
Their Business Analysts who define the customer experience need replacing. The Head of IT needs replacing. This has gone on for years.

They are adequate, but plenty can be improved.
The most annoying thing about Endsleigh is their limited opening hours of 9-5pm and no Sunday opening. It is very difficult to find time to contact them.
It was good in the past when I could get Home Emergency cover with my housing insurance policy, but they have stopped that.
I also have experienced a claim with a different insurance company called CIA in the past who sent me a surveyor to check regarding damage that the roof had suffered. A few years later, I had a similar claim with Endsleigh and they expected me to get my own surveyor and pay him myself to diagnose the issue before they would confirm coverage or not. It's much more efficient for them to send their own surveyor.

If I could give no stars I would.
If I could give no stars I would.
Completely mercenary company that has no sympathies for client issues.
Pride themselves on keeping existing customers happy but in reality only care for new business.
Charged me for changing DD date and then said we didn't change it despite emails.
Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. Avoid at all costs. Terrible and very rude staff. Just horrid.

My son used this "company" for his 1st car, myself have been driving for over 30 years using various insurance companies over the years, this is the worst company, when you have a issue they are rude on the telephone (when they decide to answer that is), received multiple emails asking to return sons black box, phone them and was told not to return it, they are just interested jn making money out off young drivers, avoid at all costs, they even charge you to cancel policy after renewal.

Appalling
Appalling...we had been with this company for more than 20 years. Completely uncompetitive, kept us on the phone for 45 minutes with long hold times and charged an extortionate fee to leave. Avoid!

Endsleigh messed up the payment for my son’s student contents insurance so I called the number specified and paid for the whole year in one lump sum. Then I received another letter saying if it wasn’t paid they would cancel but I thought my payment would sort that out. Then I had another letter saying it had been cancelled (3 weeks later) and, when I rang, they said they couldn’t reinstate it and only offered my money back. If my son had needed to claim during those 3 weeks He would not have been covered. I think this was really poor organisation on their part and should not be able to happen.
