Excellent, quick service. Came earlier to replace my damaged iPhone screen and the guy in the shop today gave it a thorough repair. Thank you

I went in to buy and iPhone 14 Pro Max with a protective case in the Liffey Valley store about 3/4 weeks ago and the staff member was excellent in explaining which case I should go for. From when I entered the store to when I left, everything was friendly and swift. I went back only a few days ago to get a screen protector and was met with different, yet just as friendly and informative staff members.
Went in to ask for a screen protector for my iPhone X at the Liffey Valley branch.
The sales assistant behind the counter, I believe Hugh was his name, was extremely helpful. He was able to apply the screen protector and complete the transaction for the purchase in less then 10 min.
The sales assistant also explained how the screen protector protected my phone and advised me that if I had any issues with it, I was more than welcome to come back so he could have a further look. 5 stars.
What can I say about iConect in Cwmbran.. Well The Chap who look at the phone FAWAD was so helpful and polite/friendly. we truly believed it was beyond repair, it had been dropped outside, not sure how many cars had run it over and it was pouring down that day.. nothing left of the screen and water logged..”it should take me 20-40mins to sort this”FAWAD said WOW. and it did. the cost of repair was nothing like we expected too.. Thank you again FAWAD. we will definitely take all our family phones there if needing repair. Highly recommend iConnect Cwmbran.

I went to my local convenience store and tried everything to enter I got at least 10 different PIN numbers and everytime it would say incorrect pin so like the stupid I am I put $10.00 for 1000 spins well guess what it ate my money and still kept saying my pin was wrong so I may as well have burned my $10.00 because there’s no LIGIT phone number and My $. 10.00 is gone with the wind I would not recommend this scam to anyone and I am a Google Guide with 454 thousand followers and I will cost this scam company something because After I do my review there will be a whole lot of people that will be very shy before ever putting money on that game.. basically tried to scam me
0 stars !!!!!!!!!!!!!
my advice is to not buy from iconnect.
If you buy your product & then there is an issue - they avoid dealing with it at all costs.
I had to take to small claims & got my refund after about 4 months of time & effort when simply and obviously should have been handled the day I went back (as was very simple problem).
I bought apple pen here, wrapped it as was from "Santa" & was left under tree unopened for a week. when little girl opened it, there was no pen inside box. (she was gutted & hard to explain on my end)
I immediately send email to say I will be back ASAP to swap for new one & I go back when they are next open & told no manager there that can help me so to go & come back on a particular day next week.
I go back the day they told me & apparently no one there to help me again. I go back the third time.... I am refused help again!! ( I don't even live close, this is hour drive every time& they knew this).
They say they will contact me if I leave my number & the empty box (which I was so uneasy about as was my only evidence) but desperate, I complied.
Don't hear for a week, email them, no reply, another few days, no response.. email again & again & again until I send email to say I will take small claims action if no update/refund/replacement (which is waste of time for both of us) so please answer.
Manager then replies that he needs to watch CCTV to prove box was unsealed & this will take a few days (EVEN THOUGH I already say in my email box was SEALED so must've been factory issue). I email him this info back & get response that they need to check CCTV anyway so I agree to wait for the couple of days. Guess what? week goes by!!! & another week !! So I call & email again and finally get email that basically said box was sealed so we can't refund you.. LOL (I already volunteered this info months ago when I first came back!! very frustrating).
Anyway, so I take up with small claims & (after lot of time & having to fill out affidavit, go to post office to swear it & all this UNNECCESSARY effort), eventually their parent company refunds me.
I never got an apology though or anything & whole experience was dreadful & funnily enough could have been avoided if they were not so LAZY & just contacted APPLE to help resolve issue (as I rang APPLE when issue first happened & they say yes this is possible but we need to deal directly with iconnect, not you).
So yeah really bad management going on here, they don't know what they're at & its just not worth risking buying anything for the chance something goes wrong (which does a lot with tech) as you will be left hanging !
This was resolved in march & it is May now that I am writing review as just have such sour taste in my mouth about them & still annoys me to this day that they are doing this to people who may not be informed enough to know to go to small claims etc.
Actually was daylight robbery, if i had not been like a dog with a bone with it, they would've gotten away from taking 95 EURO off a customer even though this is a write off amount for them realistically.
pls just buy somewhere else !

Incredibly rude staff in the Henry Street store. I approached some one for help and be barked "I'm on me break!" and marched off.
Beware the prices online are considerably less than the prices in-store.
Just a horrible shop to do business with. Rude, ignorant and unhelpful staff.
Don't buy anything here unless you have no choice.

Do not buy online
Do not buy online. I purchased a new iPhone 14 in December. It took a few days longer than expected for delivery. They used DPD, who left it hanging halfway out a letterbox on a pier on a main road because driving to the door was obviously too much hassle for them. This was a €900 value item. Signature upon delivery is what I would have expected, not for the item to be left wide open to parcel theft, which is becoming rampant.
I emailed both DPD and iConnect to make them aware of this, so other customers could possible avoid having their parcels stolen. They never even replied. Now the iPhone is dysfunctioning; touchscreen not working properly and battery not fully charging. Going by the reviews here I probably haven't a hope of getting that rectified.
I don't know why I didn't just buy direct from Apple. It's what I'll be doing in future.

If I could give Zero stars I would
If I could give Zero stars I would! Wouldn’t exchange an Apple Watch because the seal was opened that’s all. Husband got me wrong size face. Wanted to exchange for the smaller face. Wouldn’t exchange had to purchase the watch again. So I left with two Apple Watches. Wouldn’t shop here ever again! Any other shop would honour an exchange expect these!

Don't buy from the Cork Ireland iconnect store
My son bought an Apple Mac from the Cork, Ireland iconnect store. Once fired up it was freezing, unable to load anything and obviously faulty. he returned it to the store and was refused a refund. Apparently the computer would have to be sent off to be examined. we were very unhappy with this result. You would not expect to pay 2.3k for a new computer and then be left waiting with no computer (probably having to make repeated phone calls and being fobbed off) while they came to a verdict - which we suspected would be that it was fine. It wasn't fine. Moreover the assistant was rude and said that my son might be lying and had merely changed his mind. He wasn't prepared to listen to reason and left us with no option (being polite apparently not being an option) but to refuse to leave the store, arguing and getting in the way until he agreed to a refund. even then he tried to charge 20% of the computer price for repackaging! Over 400euros!
I was left in disbelief that you could buy an expensive new computer, find it faulty and not be entitled to an immediate, no quibble refund. I pointed out to the rude assistant that if he had bought in online it would not have been a problem and his response was "Well you didn't buy it online, did you?"
So are we to gather that you have less rights if you go to the trouble of buying from a physical store? No wonder the high street is becoming a thing of the past.
After having to drive 30 miles into the city on a busy Christmas shopping day, to return a faulty product and being treated like an offender, I would not recommend buying your new Apple Mac from this shop.
I notice that they have no reviews on their site and no option to leave one. Red Flag!

Only because of one sales rep
The only reason for giving a 4 star was the sales rep Cian of the henry street store. He was very very helpful and guided us well. Whereas the other guy sales rep asked us to put the screen guards on our own and was also very rude.
But cian helped us put it even when the store was busy.

Bought a Macbook Air online
Bought a Macbook Air online, they emailed me looking for ID which I produced. Over 24hours later they emailed me a very short email with little to no information, to say it's out of stock, I'll be refunded. We checked in our local store and online and they are in stock. I went to rebuy the laptop but the discount code won't work, meaning theyve removed the discount and cancelled my order and didn't even own up to it. I can see why iconnect has nothing but one star reviews, dissapointed customers and why the shops are always empty.

Don’t buy here. WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED
I was told twice, by iConnect sales assistant that I was broke and that’s why I needed to return my iPhone. Please read…
On the 20th May-2023, I bought the 512 gb iPhone 14 pro max at your iConnect Store on Henry Street, with €1,700 Cash from my debit card (I bought a few additional items).
I was asked by the sales assistant why I needed such a large storage. To which I replied for content creation.
I have a phone for personal use already…
I had the new iPhone 14 pro max for 5 days, when I went on holidays to Paris and finally got the chance to use the iPhone. I recorded a few videos and noticed the camera was faulty and I didn’t use the phone for its intended purpose. In fact I didn’t even film any content in Paris as planned. I got back from France on the 1st of June….
I went back to the Henry street store on the Saturday 3rd of June (on the 14th day of purchase) to return the faulty iPhone, I was informed that I could only return the iPhone if the phone was completely unopened and in the original box. I replied that how would I have known the camera was faulty if I never opened the box or used the camera. I was speaking with the manager, when the sales assistant beside him told me “you are broke. That’s why you came back to return this phone.” I asked him what did he mean. He said “you are broke. That’s why you came back to return this phone.” Then I said “I paid for this with cash. How could I be broke?” He replied with “It doesn’t matter people do that all the time. They buy something they can’t afford then come back to return it once they realised they are broke.” I told him he was “taking the pi*s”.
The manager at the store told him to go away and asked me to not speak to his staff in that manner. That was the end of the conversation between me and the sales assistant. The store manager said I should come back to your Henry street
Note: The conversation between your sales assistant and I IS THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL, DISGUSTING THING I have ever heard, as a FEMALE & Black person. First of all I earn a decent living. Even if I were on minimum wage no-one has any right to speak to anyone regardless of their socio-economical background.
Needless to say, I am writing this to complain about this horrendous experience at iConnect & to warn about the dodgy store. When I asked for a repair of my camera aim the store (the manager at the Henry store informed me that I was lying & all I was entitled to was a repair. I reached out to iConnect management & i was told the staff doing their job.
This is clearly how their staff are trained to treat customers!

Beware - Misled and now trying to force a restocking fee
We purchased an iPad Gen 10 last week from the Liffey valley branch. Prior to the purchase date and on the day of purchase itself we specifically asked what was the returns policy and we were advised it was two weeks from the date of purchase for a full refund as long as the box was unopened. On neither date were we informed of a 10% restocking fee which they are now trying to enforce. Completly misled and their customer service and attitude is terrible. We have now have to proceed through the small claims court.

The magnetic connection for charging my…
The magnetic connection for charging my new MacBook Air 2M stopped working though I can continue to charge it via the usb-c port. As my device is still under warranty I called Apple Inc and their solution was to made an appointment for me to have the cable replaced in IConnect, King Street, Dublin, on the following day.
When I got there IConnect had no record of this appointment. I explained the issue to the assistant who had to find another assistant to 'deal with this.' The assistant took the cable and tried it on two separate machines where it did not work.
Then he said that he would need the cable and my laptop for up to 12 days to run diagnostics on them. This, be added was compulsory! I pointed out that it was a faulty cable, plain and simple. There was nothing wrong with the laptop. Apple Inc had said that, it was a straightforward exchange, old for new.
The assistant said it was 'Apple Policy' that I submit both laptop and charger for a diagnostic examination, and that it had to be their way, or no way.' I pointed out that I was there on the advice of Apple Inc to exchange a faulty cable for a new one and that at no time was there any mention of a compulsory 12-day diagnostic for the laptop as there was nothing wrong with it.
Finally, I offered to buy a new cable instead and they said that they did not have any in stock! So I came away empty handed and extremely unimpressed with IConnect's idea of customer service.
I called Apple Inc again this morning and relayed by story and they were quite baffled. They said that they had not logged a complaint about my laptop , only about the cable, so they were at a loss to know why it would need to have a compulsory 12 day long diagnostic performed on it. Apple are sending me a replacement cable in the post today.
I hate giving a negative review to any company, especially an Irish one but I had a really bad experience with the people I dealt with in IConnect. I should have checked the reviews here before offering to use IConnnect.
