Enjoyed the experience and learnt a great deal that can be taken into everyday life. This course makes you so much more aware of the potential issues people face in their day-to-day experiences.
Neil was a top-notch instructor as well. Kept things light when needed as well as communicating the points with ease. Would definitely recommend both the course and Neil as an instructor.

Emergency first aid at work course and training with St John Ambulance was a very worth while course that gives you confidence to offer first aid when needed. It included the correct way to put someone in need in the recovery position, help when choking and also CPR. The instructor was very friendly and and offered clear instructions and advice
A compulsory First Aid course, in a busy start to term, is the last thing a teacher looks forward to.... but these 2 ladies had a different approach. Thoroughly honest, practical and hard-hitting, they were fun, but determined that no one was leaving without the knowledge they had to uptake. A very refreshing session, they held interest and focus, and allowed for good discourse.
I completed a 2 day MHFA course taken by Sian. It was a lot of information over 2 days so you have to be prepared to listen however I cannot recommend St Johns highly enough, and Sian was a great teacher. The variety of learning, Case Study Videos, knowledge checks, and practical roleplay (not as bad as it sounds) was really good to keep you engaged. The group was a great bunch of people which definitely helped make the experience what it was. I will definitely recommend this course to others.

Unprepared trainer
The woman doing the training was not prepared. Procrastinating a lot with irrelevant conversations about holidays. Took nearly an hour to get started and finished late without completing the course and talking about choking. Went over the parts we had done online and very little on practical work. Focused on infants when we are a primary school and very little on primary school children. Very disappointing.
