We bought a company domain through Trustap, for $35,000. The service was excellent. Like over and above what was needed.

They built trust between both parties buyer and seller despite neithe
r of us having met in person or spoken, purely online interactions. To us it is a large sum of money but we felt comfortable and secure throughout the process.

They then went a step extra upon the request of the seller to have a contract agreement drawn up for the purchase / sale which the trustap team turned around in less than a day. Really thankful for the speed here because you don't want the other side of the transaction to get worried and pulling out.

I won't go anywhere else for future escrow services, they've got a customer for life on the back of my first experience.

I wanted to try them out for my agency, so I created an account. We then did a test transaction which seemed to work at first, but then they deactivated my account…. without any notice or reasoning. I created another one since their support did not cooperate at all, and that one got deactivated as well.

Conclusion is they are not only untrustworthy to buyers as you can see from the other reviews but are completely unreliable to sellers as well. Save the time and nerves.

Make sure you do legit transaction and they will be good for you.

Trustap still worthy till now for my business. I don't have any problem so far. Still 5 Stars rating for now.
The only small issue is I don't have a payout report dashboard where I can easily track my payout payment, summary...etc.

Buyer beware! No complaint button. In their terms of service they say that it's safe because there's a 24 hour complaint period at which anytime you can use the complaint button on their website to hold. I used two different devices and two different web browsers. There is no complaint button. I even downloaded the app. They are going against their own TOS.
Edit 8/2/24 Trustap has harassed me (to change my review) after unlawfully taking money out of my account after not having a complaint button and after their personnel told me that my money wouldn’t be taken out of my account. Bottom line: Don’t trust Trustap.

Extremely professional, above and beyond expectations

Don’t waste your time

In it, we provided a link to claim your transaction and file a complaint, along with updates on the transaction status.

We also informed you that the handover was completed, and the complaint period had started. Despite our efforts to keep you informed at every stage, you left a 1-star review that we believe does not reflect your actual experience.

Even after the complaint period had elapsed, we went above and beyond to assist you and mediate with the seller to secure your refund. You received your refund despite not following the standard process.

We hope that, considering the efforts we made to resolve your issue, you might reconsider your review to more accurately reflect your experience.

I purchased a service and was scheduled…

I purchased a service and was scheduled to have it done on Wednesday, May 29th. Unfortunately, the service was not provided even though I paid $199 and was assured that it would be. I have been trying to resolve this issue since Wednesday, and I still haven't received the service I paid for. I asked for a refund, but have been unsuccessful in getting my money back, even after going through TrustAp. This whole experience has felt like a total scam.

Scam Not Paying Also Not Response Email

Hello,
A month ago a buyer paid me and the amount was added into my trustap account. But they took the money for long i have emailed for multiple times they just response we will fix it soon every time same email and don't any help or resolve the issue even 1 month over but the funds still stuck into trustap account without reason, So beaware these guys are just wasting people time and also took the payments and hurting people hard works, Also there is no any response even i remind many time but they ignoring emails and don't any response such a scam and unprofessional company. Such a bed thing ignoring emails. so be aware guys. i have all proofs available

Payment was deposited.

Trustap marked my transaction as complete on 4.18.24.
I have followed up multiple times and they keep telling me they are looking into it.
Trustap collected $3,800.00 from the buyer in one day.
Now 5.6.24 and still no money paid out to me (the seller).

Deposit hit my account 5/7/24. Be aware that it could take this long for the transaction to clear.

No help at all getting refunded

No help at all getting refunded. A business idea is meant to solve a problem this solves no problems, better off just paying someone through PayPal or bank transfer

Easy to use

Easy to use, efficient and will use again. I sold 2 Cheltenham festival tickets. Posted them to the UK and funds were released once the buyer had them verified by my tracking info.

No receipt of funds due

They have been holding my funds for well over a month now. They keep telling me my identity document is not correct. I have uploaded the proper document to my account several times. They system says it's saved but there appears to be some kind of error. They keep sending my system generated messages with instructions that are apparently not accurate. I just want my funds that are mine and shouldn't have to go through this to get them.

Purchased a social media related service, and seller was offering protection through Trustap. Hadn't heard of Trustap before although I am familiar with escrow type deals. Why would you release my funds if I…

Why would you release my funds if I filed a complaint and you said you would hold my funds until I have my order but release them & now I have to wait 10+ for a refund when you could’ve just refunded after 2 days like y’all said before you released it! I’m very disappointed!

Benefits the buyer, not the seller

To be honest, it’s a joke really. The buyer safely has your tickets, meanwhile they’re given 24hrs to complain about you. They can’t even confirm everything is ok to speed up the process. 24hr wait. So we wait and guess what, you have to wait another 7 working days for the funds to FINALLY get to you. All in the meantime the buyer is off with your tickets. A waste of time! The whole process needs to be immediate for it to work, it’s horrible being left in limbo not knowing if you’re even getting your money. Make it clearer guys, we shouldn’t have to dig into T’s and C’s to find this out but then I would never have used this app

We proceeded to release the payout to you on October 15, 2023. According to our records, the funds were credited to your account early in the morning on October 17, 2023. The entire process, from receiving the funds from the buyer to the payout, took a little over 2 days. We attempted to contact you via email to confirm that this timeline reflected your experience accurately but unfortunately, we did not receive a response.
It is important to note that, as a global payment processor, we adhere to stringent security and compliance procedures to ensure the safety of our users and their funds. These procedures are dictated by our partner Stripe, one of the most reputable and reliable payment platforms in the world. As a result of these procedures, most payouts typically take 1 to 2 days to settle into the Seller's bank account. However our Terms of Service must cover our most extreme and rare cases, and this is why they state that payouts may take up to 5 to 7 days to settle, although such instances are uncommon.
We appreciate your feedback, and we continuously strive to improve our service. Although your feedback does not seem to align with the reality of your experience, it certainly highlights an opportunity for improvement in the clarity of our supporting documentation regarding the timeline for a straightforward transaction settlement.
