A hidden gem in the S. Island, well worth the hike. Word to the wise: pack light. Go to the volcanic formation to the south of the beach, and you will find a calm tidal pool for the little ones.

Beautiful beach with few people. Don't let the not-so-attractive drive in fool u. Its a short hike in on a barely-there trail. Can be done in flip-flops, but shoes are recommended

Recommend sneakers for hike in, but beware wading through water for public access. Walk about a mile to the snorkeling spot.

Relax and look for spinner dolphins. Rememder that they come here to sleep so don't bother them!
