Has the same great fish as gari but at a more reasonable price. Don't expect to get salmon with tomato or tuna with tofu as the menu is a lot more traditional. The spicy scallop hand roll is a must.

The Sushi of Gari guys are now "slummin it" in Noho but their interior and fish quality is still above hood standards. Legendary salmon tomato sushi available by the piece for $4 (not $5.50 like UES)

The omakase here is so good and great value. Even comes with Uni! Perfect spot before a movie across the street.

Classic role $10, seaweed salad with sesame dressing huge $7, miso soup with veggies $3. More refined than predecessor Kotobuki but smaller plates and more pricey

Omg this gem has some of the freshest sushi in the east village at a reasonable price. The garlic butter edamame is LEGIT. Never had anything like it!!

New to the 'hood, from the same team as Gari. Excellent quality sushi, $40 "omakase" is a great deal/value. Relatively easy to get in...highly recommended
