Nguyen’s Reuben sandwichswapsduck (“my favorite protein,” says the chef) and kimchi for corned beef and sauerkraut. Sweetly seasoned duck + the fiery slaw mixes pleasure with pain. Hotheads rejoice. 続きを見る
I absolutely loved the mushrooms and the soft tofu in the miso soup. Sake (Salmon) and White TunaNigiri were spectacular! The pork bellyrice bowl was delicious and filling as well.
fab host-"boy" garcon is now at Fig&Olive, if you miss bright-ness, vibrant service with That Smile, he's downtown. Otherwise Kimpton always strived for best in local, boutique style. Miss former mgt.
The Peas & Sprouts is a great meal starter, a warm bowl packed with crispybrussels sprouts and fresh chickpeas topped with a shiso-mustard vinaigrette and garlic chips.
The SakeGardencocktail is great. Be careful as you can easily drink several before you know it! The five-spice chocolate soufflédessert is delicious. Rich but complex flavor.
in the donovan hotel, kimpton formerly thompson, has chicrooftop pool, sometimes dj parties-former home of twilight tuesdays, boris gluck & moh ducis events and fundraiser hh bar scene
Jarad at the bar is great! If you just have 2 or less people, sitting at the bar is great. Salmon lover, firecracker, brick, and Cantonese steak are great. I would skip the crudo (too much vinegar)
Brussel sprouts, salmonskewer, and steak skewers were excellent. Skip bland gyoza. Cod was standard. Duck and chicken thighskewer okay. Try short rib next time!
Get the Asian coleslaw with 20 ingredients and really savor every bite. Different textures and tastes really make this an amazing dish to eat as every bite is unique in some way.
Okay; overpriced, but good sushi. Cavernous main room belies its hotel association. Weird disconnects (bone-in duck for lettuce wraps?) makes menu feel thrown together; but great service.
what happened? Used to be a great restaurant. Now Kimpton has taken over and the menu, attitude and service leave a lot to be desired. Used to eat here on each visit to DC but won't be coming back.
Zentan, named one of the best Japanese restaurants in DC by Thrillist, is a favorite destination for an unforgettable mouth-watering meal and happy hour.
