The Greater China R&D Office is looking for a dynamic team member to join the business development team to lead business development of a variety of strategic projects. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to make an impact on future AIML and software features, and technology capability planning for Apple in the region.

Description

Lead strategic business development projects, related but not limited to data sourcing and management, building new technology partnerships, and university joint research programs. Analyze industry landscape of desired data or technology, establish sourcing channels and evaluation strategies in partnership with R&D functions. Lead end-to-end partnership process and overall partner relationship from qualification, commercial negotiations, business agreement execution, to launch and go-live in collaboration with R&D functions, Finance and Legal. Communicate, collaborate and align with internal stakeholders and external partners for project tracking, execution and escalation as appropriate. Provide timely issue resolution and critical path/risk assessment management. Facilitate excellent communication and multiple levels of status updates, across a wide spectrum of stakeholders from individual contributors to executive management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of relevant business development and partnership experience.
  • Negotiations: Proven track record in leading business negotiations and executing data and technology agreements.
  • Communication: Fluency in English and Chinese, excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Others: Self-motivated and proactive, critical thinker who can embrace ambiguity and demonstrate attention to details

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA.
  • Skilled in collaborating and influencing cross-functional partners, navigating global and complex organizations to build and achieve strategic goals.
  • Fundamental understanding of AIML, computer vision, speech recognition, experience in data acquisition, software or internet services industries.
  • Technically savvy with strong grasp of emerging technologies and landscapes.
