Description

The Junior Security Analyst is an immediate-impact role for a passionate individual contributor who thrives by connecting the dots between technology, security, and privacy. This individual is a subject matter expert responsible for collaborating with other technical teams to drive security and privacy activities across multiple domains, specifically covering support for regulatory obligations, engineering controls implementations, and both internal and external reporting. They will also serve as an Privacy Champion, managing impact assessments, fielding internal and external security testing, helping build requirements for Apple engineering teams, consult on security for regulated services such as financial services, health, and enterprise/education, and support maturing operations through risk-tool configuration and automation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to work well on a team, as well as independently
  • Exceptional organizational, and communication skills incl. writing skills, handling/influencing multiple projects with varied deadlines, diverse stakeholders and changing priorities
  • Has an understanding of Privacy laws, regulations and standards such as GDPR and HIPAA

  • Has an understanding of network security, encryption protocols, access control, and identity management
  • Ability to perform assessments and gap analysis to identify deficiencies and areas requirement remediation.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication and reporting skills
