WHO WE ARE: Our enclosure global supply management team is responsible for the sourcing, manufacturing development, execution and production of differentiated and unique mechanical enclosure parts. Part of our core business is the creation and development of our world-class mechanical / industrial designs and as such, the management of the supply chain is required to be equally unique, innovative and specialized. Due to the importance of this subject area in the definition of Apple's brand, this business group must be able to innovate not only our products, but also the very business processes by which we accomplish our objectives. The complicated balance between the need to achieve ground breaking mechanical developments and business execution creates challenges that drive processes that require a bridge from engineering risk to manufacturing capability to business needs.

Description

Understand key business logic behind key operation data (FCST/Production/Inventory/Supply/Lead Time/WiP) Enhance an integrated data platform and tools to support data collection/analysis/tracking/visualization in an effective way across Apple and vendors. Drive operational excellence via tools with x-functional team. Key deliverable: • Enable operation dashboard, enhance the integrated data platform and tool; optimize data utilization • Drive vendor on operational improvement with x-functional team via tools, meeting cadence and line audit. Project Impact: • Improve the data flow in supply chain to support effective data based operational decision.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree enrolled.
  • Self-driven, result oriented style and quick learning capability.
  • Self motivated, able to fit in quickly, ability to work in multinational environments, and drive factory on operation improvement.
  • Data cleaning/modeling/analysis capability.
  • Excel/Numbers/VBA/Python/Tableau knowledge.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA is a plus.
  • Internship Period: 6 months
  • Manufacturing/factory operation experience preferred
  • Solid program management skillset and ability to lead peers and work well with others is essential.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering and development, manufacturing practices/techniques, or other technical background would be a definite plus.
  • Experience in massive data analysis, coding and machine learning would be a plus.
